WCW Monday Night Nitro - Monday, December 25th, 1995
- Starrcade is just around the corner, and literally there has been zero hype for the WCW Vs. Japan series of matches at the pay-per-view. I'm not sure why Japan would be having problems with WCW. Storyline-wise, makes zero sense to me.
- Hogan doesn't have a match at the pay-per-view, at least for the moment, which is always good. This is the final Nitro, before Starrcade on the 27th, which is on a Wednesday.
- We quickly start the show with Luger/Riggs.
- Lex Luger w/ Jimmy Hart Vs Scotty Riggs
- Luger with blows to the back of Riggs. Riggs comes back with a couple of dropkicks and a flying forearm smash.
- Luger rolls to the outside and Hart tries to calm him down.
- Luger with knees and elbows in a corner, Riggs goes head first into the top turnbuckle.
- Luger misses a running splash in the corner and Riggs comes back with an arm drag and begins to wrench on the arm of Luger.
- Riggs drops Luger arm first over the top rope and goes back to wrenching on the arm of Luger.
- Riggs leaps over Luger and connects with an arm drag and continues to wrench on the arm of Luger.
- Luger comes back and hangs onto the top rope causing Riggs to miss a dropkick.
- Riggs ducks a clothesline and connects with a cross body.
- Luger blocks a suplex attempt by Riggs... and drops him gut first onto the top rope. Luger clotheslines Riggs off the apron into the railing.
- Suplex back into the ring by Luger... 2 count.
- Luger begins to kick and punch Riggs on the lower back. Riggs manages to get his feet up twice in the corner and begins to deliver right hands.
- Riggs with a back drop and he rolls Luger up... 2 count.
- Riggs goes up top and misses another dropkick. Luger sends Riggs into the ropes and connects with a power slam.
- Luger places Riggs into the Torture Rack and Riggs gives up.
- Your Winner: Lex Luger via submission with the Torture Rack.
- Replays of all of Luger's offense.
- Gene O is with Sting, even for an interview Sting gets pyro...
- Sting is sick of the questions of the relationship between himself and Luger.
- He is doing everything he can to get Luger on the right track.
- Sting wants one more chance to place Flair into the Scorpion Death Lock and never let go!
- Finally some hype for the Japan/USA contest, as Sting tells them to bring it on.

- Big Bubba Rogers Vs Sting
- Rogers with right hands to gain the early advantage. Shoulder block by Rogers but Sting is up and no-sells.
- Roger, however, isn't fazed and he connects with a round house kick and delivers a back breaker.
- Rogers with a throat thrust, Sting comes back with right hands and boots. Sting goes off the ropes and connects with a running bulldog.
- Rogers rolls to the floor and is holding his face.
- Sting with a running bulldog onto the floor padding, and Rogers is hurting.
- Rogers begins to wrench on the arm of Sting, and Sting comes back but Rogers pokes him in the eyes.
- Rogers with a big splash in the corner and vicious right hands... 2 count.
- Rear naked choke by Rogers, Sting with elbows to the gut of Rogers, and Sting runs into a boot to the gut by Rogers.
- Atomic drop by Rogers, and Sting goes chest first into the corner. Sting bounces off and Rogers connects with a strike to the back.
- Sting rolls to the floor and Roger begins to deliver more right hands.
- Sting fight backs with more right hands and sends Rogers back into the ring.
- Sting is up top but Roger pokes him in the eyes again and looks to connect with a vertical suplex, but Sting manages to reverse into a roll up... 1-2-3.
- Your Winner: Sting via pinfall with a roll up.
- Replay of the finish.

- We come back and Gene is wearing a Santa hat and is with Luger/Hart... Gene wants to know what is going on between Luger/Sting.
- Luger says that they are friends and nothing is wrong.
- Luger claims to be the "uncrowned World Champion".
- Sting is next to them with a confused look... Hart seconds Luger.
- Sgt. Craig Pittman has now came out and asks for Hart to be his manager...
- Hart flaunts winning the "Manager of the Decade"... Hart soon rejects Pittman.

- Dean Malenko Vs Mr. JL (Jerry Lynn)
- Malenko with a dropkick to the back of JL and he connects with a running clothesline in the corner. Nice exploder suplex by Malenko... 2 count.
- Malenko sends JL into the ropes and simply drops him gut first onto the mat.
- Malenko with an attempted vertical suplex, but JL reverses.
- JL ducks a clothesline and rolls Malenko up... 2 count.
- Malenko sends JL into the ropes and JL connects with a flying head scissors.
- Malenko rolls to the floor. JL with a somersault splash onto the floor.
- Malenko rams JL head first into the top turnbuckle... JL manages to come back with a suplex back into the ring... 2 count.
- JL with chops in the corner, JL looks for a monkey flip out of the corner, but Malenko hangs onto the ropes... and there is now a back bridge, they bridge up and JL connects with a sit down power bomb... 2 count.
- Malenko with a boot to midsection and he sends JL throat first into the top rope. JL is sent onto the apron and he climbs to the top.
- Malenko hooks JL up and connects with a top rope gut buster...
- JL is in some serious pain... Malenko places JL into a leg lock... JL gives up.
- Your Winner: Dean Malenko via submission to a leg lock.
- Replay of Malenko win.
- Gene is standing with Flair. Flair says that Savage is about to face Ric Flair, and Flair says that he can't be denied.
- Jimmy Hart comes out and apologizes to Flair for what happened last week between the DoD and the 4 Horsemen.
- Hart owes Flair for saving his life, and he will pay Flair back here tonight.
- Hart wants to manage Flair tonight for when Flair wins the World Title here tonight.

- Savage backs Flair into a corner and Flair lets out a "WHOOO".
- Flair with a rake of the eyes and a snapmare take Savage down. Flair goes off the ropes and misses a knee drop.
- Savage drags Flair to a turnbuckle and begins to ram Flair knee first onto the post.
- Savage places Flair into the figure-four leg lock near the middle of the ring...
- Flair reaches the bottom rope after a brief moment...
- Flair goes into a corner and they lock up again. Savage with a few punches in the corner but Flair comes back with an atomic drop.
- Flair goes for the figure-four but Savage reverses into a small rollup.
- Flair sends Savage to the floor and Hart begins to deliver boots to the gut of Savage.
- Commercials.
- Flair sends Savage back first into the guard railing. Savage grabs a steel chair but the referee takes that away.
- Flair drops Savage throat first on the top rope. Flair snapmares Savage back into the ring. Back elbow by Flair...
- Hart begins to choke Savage on the apron and Flair begins to deliver boots onto Savage.
- Flair places Savage into a hammerlock on his back shoulder. Flair is using the ropes for extra leverage.
- Flair gets Savage into a pi fall attempt... 2 count.
- Savage begins to fight back, and he takes Flair down with a running clothesline.
- Savage blocks a clothesline and backslides Flair... 2 count...
- Savage blocks right hands and connects with some right hands... 2 count.
- Flair begins to beg off Savage... Flair with a low blow in the corner.
- Flair with a vertical suplex... 2 count.
- Flair with some more chops in the corner and a stiff right hand. Savage and Flair trade right hands and chops.
- Savage with a big back drop... 2 count.
- Flair Flip in a corner and he falls to the floor. Savage is on the top and looks for a double axe handle onto the floor, but Flair manages to punch Savage on the midsection on his way down.
- Savage manages to place Flair into a sleeper hold and Flair comes back with a knee breaker.
- Flair begins to leap onto the knee of Savage. Savage tries to come back with right hands but Flair chops him down and places him into the figure-four and uses the ropes for extra leverage.
- Savage is trying to reach the bottom rope but can't... Savage finally reaches the bottom rope, but lets go for some reason and his shoulders continue to go down... 2 count.
- Flair eventually lets go of the hold, Flair with a few boots the knee of Savage, snapmare take down.
- Flair goes to the top rope and Savage gets up and slams him off the top to the mat. Savage with two running clotheslines.
- Flair with a rake of the eyes, Flair places Savage into a sleeper hold.
- Savage manages to drop down and drops Flair chin first onto the top turnbuckle.
- Savage with a roll up... 2 count.
- Flair looks for a piledriver but Savage is able to back drop him down... 2 count.
- Savage goes to the top rope and connects with a double axe handle... 2 count.
- Savage is sent into the ropes and Hart grabs Savage's foot... Savage knocks Hart and Flair down...
- Here comes Lex Luger and he begins to hammer away on Savage... Savage comes back and chokes Luger.
- Sting comes running down and Flair begins to chop away on Sting... Sting with a Stinger Splash and of course a gorilla press slam... Sting and Savage begin to slap each other...
- The tension is crazy--- what is going to happen at Starrcade?!
- Your Winner: Ric Flair by disqualification, Savage retains the WCW World Heavyweight Title.
- The Good: Malenko/JL was pretty good for the 4 minutes given, and all matches ended cleanly. Well... except for the main event.
- The Bad: Sting/Rogers, and Luger/Riggs.
- The Ugly: Same old boring interviews with the same old storylines... Just boring.
