WCW Monday Nitro - Monday, February 12th, 1996
- Tonight's show will center around the aftermath of Super Brawl from the previous night.
- I'll share my thoughts on the show before I begin tonight's show.
- Diamond Dallas Page has lost all credibility as being a mid card heel, considering he has lost to the same man roughly five times in a row (one time not being involved in the match, yet still pinned).
- I would suggest he be taken off television for a short time and have him come back stronger than ever.
- Elizabeth turning on Savage. I had a hunch about this happening on the Nitro before the pay-per-view. When Liz didn't even bother to tell Hogan about a attack from Flair. When she had clearly seen Flair coming from behind.
- But, I didn't think much of it.
- Now, Flair has two female managers and the Horsemen. He is on a roll.
- Lastly, I also noticed that Hulk Hogan destroyed the Dungeon of Doom. Taking out at least half a dozen or so wrestlers with a chair, then being able to still fight them off, AFTER he drops the chair?
- Dungeon of Doom is nothing but a joke of a heel stable after that...
- Well, they were before then, but after the PPV it's beyond repairable.
- This Loch Ness fellow also doesn't appear to be have anything exciting about him.
- Well, lets start with the show...
- Opening video package.
- We are LIVE from Tampa, Florida for some action packed 45 minutes of wrestling (1 hour show)!
- Eric goes over the aftermath of Super Brawl, and how Johnny B. Badd is 6.6 million dollars richer.
- We go to STILLS from last night's pay-per-view.
- Showcasing the "respect strap match"
- We also go to the Steel Cage match between Savage/Flair, showing Liz giving Flair a high heel to hit Savage with.
- We also see Hogan destroying all the Dungeon of Doom members.
- Hugh Morrus Vs Randy "Macho Man" Savage
- Really just eye raking and right hands for the majority of the contest.
- Morrus misses the "No Laughing Matter" moonsault, which allows Savage to connect with the flying elbow, twice.
- Your Winner: Randy Savage via pinfall
- After the match, Savage taunts doing the elbow again, but doesn't.
- Savage gets on the microphone and says he wants "The Nature Boy Ric Flair".
- Savage Vs Flair in a return match next week!
- Commercials.
- We come back and Gene is standing with Steve Grissom of WCW Motor sports.
- He is the driver of the WCW car.
- The car is purple, red and yellow. With WCW on the car, obviously.
- Just a way to hype up the car.
- Scotty Riggs Vs Loch Ness w/ Jimmy Hart
- Eric says Ness is at least 700 lbs. Let's be realistic, IF he were nearly 700 lbs, I doubt he would walk that well, hell even wrestle to begin with.
- Whatever Scotty does, Ness just absorbs.
- Ness botches a cross body on Riggs by forgetting to catch him.
- Two elbow drops by Loch Ness off the ropes... 1-2-3.
- Your Winner: Loch Ness via pinfall
- That was forgettable.
- We go back to Gene who is with Liz and Woman who are now bringing out a bed?
- Gene must be excited about this.
- Flair pops out of the bed and cuts a promo on winning the title, and having Liz as his manager.
- Flair is looking forward to fighting Savage next week.
- Liz says she was sick of having to stand behind Savage and say nothing.
- Liz forgets her lines! Which could explain why she never did promos.
- All three let out a "WHOOO" to end the segment.
- Commercials.
- For the WCW United States Championship: © Konnan Vs Devon Storm
- Well, this is Storm's debut, so why not give him a title shot?
- Wow, early on Storm sets a chair in the ring and connects with a flip over the ropes to the floor onto Konnan.
- Storm runs off the ring steps, and Konnan catches Storm and connects with a power bomb on the floor!
- Impressive moves with various head scissors.
- We see George Steinbrenner in the crowd.
- Konnan with a hurricanrana over the ropes to the floor.
- Konnan with a power bomb off the middle turnbuckle... 1-2-3.
- Your Winner: And Still WCW US Champion, Konnan via pinfall
- Hogan/Anderson, Next!
- Commercials.
- Arn Anderson w/ Woman Vs Hulk Hogan
- Hogan is in control early on with clotheslines and he sends Arn into the ring post, five times.
- Hogan is in complete control choking Arn with his wrist tape or the ropes.
- Arn gets crotched on the ropes, but quickly comes back with right hands.
- Here comes Ric Flair and Elizabeth.
- Spine buster by Arn, 2 count and Hogan "Hulks Up"... I predicted that last part before it even happened.
- Hogan places Arn in the Figure Four and when Flair comes in Hogan cradles him up.
- Woman throws powder in the eyes of Hogan, Arn has Woman's boot and hits Hogan!!! 1-2-3!!!!!!!
- Wow... Arn wins! Arn wins! By pinfall!!!
- Your Winner: Arn Anderson via pinfall
- Of course, Hogan manages to get up quickly and takes out both Arn and Flair.
- Savage comes out and also works on both men. Savage has a chair and he hits Flair.
- Flair heads over the announcers' table and cuts a promo on both Hogan and Savage.
- Hogan runs over and grabs a headset wanting both Flair and Anderson.
- Gene comes over with a microphone everyone can hear.
- Hogan wants Arn next week... Savage accepts his already signed rematch.
- Hogan says he is going to the be the "new enforcer"... Whatever.
- "No more Mr. Nice Guy" by both Hogan and Savage...
- The Good: Storm/Konnan, Arn winning in the main event.
- The Bad: The opening contest with Savage and Morrus.
- The Ugly: Loch Ness, along with his match.
