WCW Monday Nitro - Monday, February 19th, 1996
- Opening video to start off the show.
- We are LIVE from Salisbury, Maryland!
- Bischoff quickly hypes up the World Title rematch between Ric Flair and Randy Savage.
- Mongo claims that Hogan has never lost to the same person, twice.
- Wonder if that is true.
- We see footage of the WCW car managing to win at Daytona.
- We go to the ring.
- Arn Anderson w/ Woman Vs Hulk Hogan
- Hogan in control early on, even choking Anderson with his own jacket.
- Hogan sends Arn in and out of the ring a few times.
- Arn just can't get anything going.
- Late in the match, Hogan has the Figure Four on Arn Anderson.
- However, Kevin Sullivan comes out to help Arn, but Savage comes out to prevent Sullivan from doing anything.
- Thus, Savage is in the ring, and Nick Patrick rings the bell!
- Two victories for Arn Anderson over Hogan!!
- Your Winner: Arn Anderson via disqualification
- Alex Wright tries to survive against Loch Ness, Next!
- Commercials.
- We come back and Gene is with Steve Grissom who again, won at Daytona.
- Sting, Lex Luger and Harlem Heat were there.
- I'm shocked they didn't brawl there.
- I don't like NASCAR, thus, not a fan of these rather boring segments.
- Commercials.
- Alex Wright Vs Loch Ness
- I can understand Riggs being demolished, but Wright has some talent and is rather over with the crowd.
- Well, whatever Wright tries to do, has no effect on Ness.
- Ness with a simple elbow drop and gets the three count.
- Your Winner: Loch Ness via pinfall
- WCW is clearly leading to a segment between Ness and Hogan.
- I wouldn't even think about watching Nitro if that happens.
- Commercials.
- Benoit/Badd, Brad Armstrong/Konnan, Road Warriors, and Sting/Luger battle Public Enemy all on Saturday Night!
- Benoit and Badd could be pretty good right there.
- Belfast Bruiser Vs Brad Armstrong
- Rematch from that last Saturday Night telecast.
- Eric announces that a new tournament will be taking place to crown a new Cruiserweight Champion. Brad will be involved in the tournament.
- Well, this was different than Saturday Night.
- Bruiser rather dominated this contest and connected with a tombstone pile driver to gain the win.
- Your Winner: Belfast Bruiser via pinfall
- Flair/Savage rematch coming up Next!
- Commercials.
- For the WCW World Heavyweight Championship: © Ric Flair w/Elizabeth and Woman Vs Randy Savage
- Early on, Savage places Flair in the Figure Four, but Flair manages to get to the ropes, rather quickly.
- Moments later, Flair places Savage into the Figure Four, which Savage reverses.
- Later, Savage connects with the double axe handle, Liz distracts the referee, Woman throws her shoe in the ring.
- Savage catches the shoe and whacks Flair.
- Arn comes running and DDTs Savage. Hogan and Sullivan are fighting by ringside.
- Flair covers Savage for the three count.
- Your Winner: And Still WCW World Heavyweight Champion, Ric Flair via pinfall.
- What the hell... Zodiac comes out and attacks Sullivan, Arn and Flair.
- He wasn't dressed up as Zodiac, but rather in a hideous outfit.
- Flair comes to the announcers' table again, and cuts a promo about beating Savage and Hogan.
- Zodiac or whatever you want to call him comes over and chases Flair, Arn and Sullivan away.
- Hogan challenges Flair/Arn and Kevin Sullivan to a six-man tag match next week.
- Zodiac is now known as... The Booty Man.
- How sad.
- Booty Man is flexing and grunting or something and looks like a complete idiot.
- Bischoff, I guess, has already signed the match for next week...
- The Good: Arn sure knows how to take a beating and sell it well. A Cruiserweight division is coming back to WCW.
- The Bad: Bruiser/Brad
- The Ugly: The Booty Man, simple as that. I cannot believe WCW continues to give this guy gimmicks or even a storyline. Just really sad.
