WCW Saturday Night - Saturday, April 13th, 1996
- WCW Nitro last Monday was pre-emptied for the NBA Playoffs on TNT, I would assume.
- Tonight's show appears to be loaded, because there wasn't a Nitro, WCW makes up for it by loading up their B show with some rather big name matches. Or, well, at least people we know.
- Now, before I plug a few things I do need to talk some WCW stuff.
- This whole Luger/Sting trust/not trust type of thing is quite ridiculous.
- The storyline would have made sense if Luger would have just remained a heel. But no, he has to turn into a baby face.
- WCW needs a younger heel. Don't get me wrong, Flair, Anderson and even Sullivan are good heels. But, they need a younger established man. Luger, who I believe to be a natural heel, should have remained a heel.
- Also, the whole thing with Sting having Giant as a partner, but he knew that he couldn't trust him?
- How in the world does that make any sense? Would you or anyone have a partner that you know you couldn't trust? I don't think so.
- I am going to hope that Luger tries to reel Sting in more, and proceed to turn on Sting, finally.
- Now, onto Madusa. What the hell is the point in having her in WCW? There isn't a women's division for her to dominate. She barely appears on television, she has lost both of her matches that she has had.
- Lost to Sherri Martel in 1995, and lost to Col. Robert Parker at Uncensored 1996.
- So far, she hasn't really done anything for WCW. Unless this is supposed to be a shot taken at the WWF, and their former women's championship.
- A few good things. Public Enemy/Nasty Boys has been a pleasant feud.
- Lord Steven Regal and Belfast Bruiser had a good contest at Uncensored, and Regal cut a very good promo on the last Saturday Night. I'd expect their match on this show to be a good one as well.
