WCW Saturday Night - Saturday, April 27th, 1996
- I've just recently noticed something. The fact that Hulk Hogan has not been on WCW television in a few weeks.
- I don't believe there is an angle to him not even being on TV. He seems to have vanished, without any notice.
- I am not complaining. Trust me, I do not want to see Hogan continually going over the heel roster.
- Just thought that was interesting. Now we just need BM to get the heck out of town and all is good.
- Slamboree is in a few weeks. I'm not at all a fan of the "Lethal Lottery". Just for the simple fact that there will be several low-to-mid carders involved in worthless matches.
- Everyone knows there is no way that Flair and Savage as a team will work out.
- The fact that Bobby Walker is being mentioned on a Nitro, to no heat, shows how worthless this tournament is going to be, or already is.
- Looks like Giant may be going into a baby face stage. With all the tension from the last Nitro, a Giant baby face turn would be the most reasonable.
- He would just need to leave the Dungeon of Doom and Jimmy Hart. Which may be difficult as Jimmy Hart does most of the talking for the Giant.
- Anyway, right now we got Saturday Night. Chris Benoit vs. Alex Wright, Bruiser vs. Regal, and Sting/Luger facing Harlem Heat could be decent contests tonight.
- However, it is a B show, so, I doubt they will last more than five minutes and rushed.
- Time for a few cheap plugs, http://bigelow34.proboards99.com/index.cgi great forum.
- http://colling1989.proboards41.com/index.cgi? Wrestling recaps from a lot of promotions and independent promotions.
- www.2cwwrestling.com a local wrestling promotion that is very, very entertaining. I suggest checking them out. If you live in the northeast area, their shows are really fun.

- He was awesome as Earthquake in some other company.
- Shark with a big power slam early on. He misses a leg drop.
- Savage sends Shark into the ring post. Savage tries for a power slam, but Shark is just to big and he splats Savage.
- Shark misses a middle rope splash, Savage nails the top rope elbow drop for the win.
- Your Winner: Randy Savage via pinfall
- I could have booked that. Hell, a third grader could have booked that whole match.

- This could have been confusing to some, as he had just wrestled.

- WCW Cruiserweight Title Tournament Match: Chris Benoit Vs Alex Wright
- Some fast paced action early on with Wright showing some aggression.
- Wright's knee is tangled in the middle rope and Benoit delivers a few boots.
- Wright fights back with a slingshot body splash from the apron for a two count.
- Benoit blocks a roll up and rolls Wright up, and uses the ropes for leverage to win the match and move on in the tournament.
- Your Winner: Chris Benoit via pinfall
- Tony is with Chris Benoit and Arn Anderson.
- Benoit says Anderson never gave him a straight answer about Sullivan.
- Sullivan comes over and apparently these two men have issues.

- For the WCW World Heavyweight Tag Team Titles: Harlem Heat Vs © Sting/Lex Luger
- I doubt there will be a clean finish.
- Booker T with a scissors kick early on Sting. Sting with a few clotheslines.
- Luger with a vertical suplex on Booker T, later in the match.
- Luger is clotheslined by Ray who is on the apron, behind the referee's back, to gain control.
- Luger oversells simple stuff way too much. It is quite annoying.
- Jimmy Hart runs down and throws in the towel, and runs to the back.
- Somehow, Sting and Luger have retained the tag team titles.
- So, Hart through the towel in for Harlem Heat, while they had control of the match? Makes zero sense
- Your Winners: And Still WCW World Heavyweight Tag Team Champions, Sting and Lex Luger via Hart throwing in the towel
- Commercials
- Gene is with Luger and Sting.
- They basically put themselves over.
- They also act typical baby face as they didn't want the title match end that way.

- Gene is now a booker.
- End of Show
- The Good: Benoit/Wright was OK
- The Bad: The show was too simple. Easy booking, and wrestlers didn't do a whole lot.
- The Ugly: BM and stupid tights.
