WCW Saturday Night - Saturday, June 15th, 1996
- We are just about twenty-four hours away. For people who are just learning times, that would be one day, away from WCW Great American Bash 1996!
- I'll save the long introduction and thoughts of the PPV for the PPV itself.
- Let's get WCW Saturday Night underway, shall we?
- We start off with my favorite television show opening video.
- It's so childish to me, but yet so awesome.
- Video of Gene interviewing Debra who wanted to call off the match.
- Debra goes into the Horsemen locker room with Heenan and runs out screaming.
- What else would you expect?
- Tony Schiavone and Dusty Rhodes remind us who they are.
- Rhodes blabbers about Debra and love.
- Tony talks over video from last week involving Razor Ramon and Diesel (yes the same guys from WWF, if you're just tuning into the product).
- Let's go to some squash matches!
- VK Wallstreet versus Marcus Bagwell
- You know, VK was so much better when he was I.R.S in WWF.
- You know, Marcus Bagwell would be much better as a heel.
- Though I have to give credit to Bagwell, he sure gets a good face reaction on a B-show.
- VK outsmarts Bagwell with the early offense which includes a scoop slam and eye poke. Bagwell continues the generic counter attack with dropkicks.
- Bagwell misses a cross body and VK nails Bagwell with a clothesline, but only gets a near fall.
- VK plants Bagwell with the Stock Market Crash (Samoan Drop) but doesn't cover Bagwell.
- VK goes for another one, but Bagwell rolls VK up for the win.
- Your Winner: Marcus Bagwell via pinfall
- After the match, Scotty Riggs comes down and celebrates the win with Bagwell.
- Lee Marshall plugs the WCW Great American Bash before introducing Bagwell.
- Bagwell says he is a little winded from the match. Bagwell says he is going to walk out the Lord of the Ring.
- Scotty Riggs doesn't say anything of importance.
- Diamond Dallas Page comes over and rips on Riggs and Bagwell.

- Way to be confident, Marcus.

- Bubba vs. John Tenta, Steiner Brothers vs. Fire and Ice.
- Commercials
- Hacksaw Jim Duggan versus The Gambler
- I find it funny that whenever Duggan uses a regular clothesline, he doesn't win. Because his three point stance clothesline is, well, a clothesline.
- Scoop slam, three point stance clothesline, win.
- Your Winner: Jim Duggan via pinfall
- After the match, Gambler attempts to attack Duggan but is nailed with a taped up fist.
- A promo video promoting a new wrestler names "Glacier" is shown.
- To continue with the video theme, a hype video hyping up the Steiner Brothers is shown.
- Mostly footage from the late 1980's and from their 1991-1992 run is shown.

- Harlem Heat versus Steiner Brothers
- This isn't the main event? Tonight's show must be stacked!
- I can't imagine Harlem Heat losing clean here.
- Fire and Ice have some pre-recorded comments and tell the Steiner Brothers to not look past them.
- Stevie Ray nails Rick with a nice leaping big boot and a clothesline which sees Rick land right on his head.
- Booker botches a leaping sidekick on Scott. Ray knees Scott in the back on the apron, but Scott sells as if he was hit on the head, and Booker connects with a leaping sidekick this time.

- Your Winners: Fire & Ice via pinfall
- Dusty really needs to remember people's names.
- Backstage, Gene is standing with Mongo and Debra.
- Debra calls the Horsemen animals.
- Mongo tries too hard to be a loose cannon. If he is trying to act nuts, he should get lessons from a guy who is nuts...
- ...such as Randy Savage.
- Kevin Greene must be too good to be on Saturday Night.
- But not good enough to win a Super Bowl.
- Oh I went there....Just don't tell him.
- Commercials
- Fantastic! WCW Motorsports is still in operation.
- Interesting that they didn't give a report on the latest race.

- Armstrong gets a few offensive moves but Anderson plants Armstrong with a spinebuster for the win.
- Your Winner: Arn Anderson via pinfall
- Another video promoting the Horsemen is shown.
- Backstage, Gene is standing with the Horsemen and Bobby Heenan.
- Arn Anderson can sure change quickly.
- Arn makes it clear that he will be targeting the NFL goons' legs.

- That was basically all that happened.
- Your Winner: Lord Steven Regal via submission

- Sting can't wait to return the favor with a backhand to Regal. Though, he already has.

- Tenta signals for the butt splash. Big Bubba comes out, but Tenta connects with the move to win.
- Your Winner: John Tenta via pinfall
- A video with Kevin Sullivan talking about Chris Benoit is shown.
- I couldn't really hear what he was saying, but I'm sure it was sadistic.
- Commercials
- For the WCW World Television Championship: ŠLex Luger versus The Barbarian
- I actually forgot Luger was the TV champion. Heck, he is one half of the tag champs. He can possibly hold three titles at once if he were to beat Giant at the Great American Bash.
- In a shocking turn of events, Luger actually takes a huge bump. Barbarian connects with a overhead belly to belly suplex off the top turnbuckle.
- Barbarian misses a flying head butt. Luger gets Barbarian in the Torture Rack to retain the title.

- For some reason, when Tony talks, he is talking as if his tongue is too big for his mouth. Just sounds very funny to me.
- He is over emphasizing every word.
- That's it.
- The Good: Harlem Heat/Steiner Brothers was decent. Most of the GAB matches were given proper hype. Luger actually making Barbarian look good.
- The Bad: the Cruiserweight title match and US Title matches at GAB weren't even mentioned once. Sting not knowing what the heck he is talking about.
- The Ugly: The way Tony sounded at the end of the show. Sounded like Dusty.
