WCW Worldwide - Saturday, 6/28/98
- As I (finally) type this up, the last tapings for Worldwide and the {Pro} are going on. Sigh. Starting with the new TV season, it seems I'll be watching relevant matches and hearing about current angles instead of seeing matches like Eaton vs Horowitz....double sigh.

- Not much to say, so lets go right to the action...
- Prince Iaukea over Psychosis by Northern Lights Suplex
- With La Parka out due to "I like ruining
people's knees and careers!" Goldberg's bad,
Psychosis holds the title as the best wrestler who
you won't see in an angle.
- Prince starts off with a headlock, knocks down
Psy...Psy decides to take a break outside the
ring...
- Psy back in, Prince grabs his arm, Psy rolls to
reverse, but gets an elbow for his trouble...
- Prince tries a whip, blocked, Psy knocks him down
and drops a few elbows
- Psy picks up Prince and smashes his head into the
turnbuckle...
- Psy spends some time stretching out Prince's
arm around the ropes and eventually a ring post
- Psy lifts Prince for a body slam, but Prince
turns it around gives Psy an inverted atomic
drop...
- Prince with a whip...Death Valley (Spicolli) Driver! for 2
- Prince whips Psy into the corner, charges, and gets a boot to his face
- Psy puts Prince up top...Top Rope 'Rana gets a 2
- Psy whips, reversed by Psy, Tilt-a-whirl suplex
attempted by Prince, Psy evades but falls right
into to the Northern Lights Suplex...
- Man, I thought Psy would have pulled this one out...dang...
- Lee Marshall with Kanyon
- The Cat over Frankie Lancaster by Feliner
- Ugh, not the Cat! Let's get through this quick, 'kay?
- Cat starts off with kicks, follows that with more kicks
- Lancaster takes over and chokes down the Cat...some holds on the leg (smart!)
- The Cat makes his comeback...spinning kick knocks down Lancaster and the top rope spinning kick gets the win...
- Nitro: DDP vs Savage (vs Piper) in a cage...interested specators join the fun...
- Norman Smiley over Barry Houston by a leg twisting submission move
- Smiley and Houston lock up, Houston knocks down Smiley...ref calls for a clean break, I call for caffeine...
- Smiley takes the next lockup...headlock and Houston's on the mat...scoop, slam on Houston.
- Smiley drops a leg and then an elbow, cover for a two count.
- Smiley kicks Houston while he's down...picks Houston up to lay in a few European uppercuts
- Smiley with a whip into the corner, reversed by Houston, but Houston runs right into Smiley's foot.
- Smiley continues to dominate...uppercut, but Houston takes down Smiley for a quick two count...
- Both men on their feet...Irish whip and Houston with another clothesline and another 2 count
- Body slam by Houston, followed to some kicks to the back of Smiley.
- Smiley makes it to his feet, but misses a clothesline. Houston takes down Smiley again and comes up with a suplex for a near pin
- Houston tries to kick Smiley in the back, but Smiley grabs the leg and takes down Houston
- Smiley works on the knees, and than twists a leg hard to get the win
- Thunder: Raven decides that Saturn is out of the Flock. The Flock agrees. Kanyon shows up, just cause he can.
- Silver King over Lorenzo by standing legdrop
- Ugh...I want to speed up, so you'll excuse the short report for this one, 'kay?
- Normal Worldwide match, King starts off in control, Lorenzo takes over, Silver King comes back to win
- A nice Missle dropkick set up the end...
- Lee Marshall with Rick Rude and Curt Hennig
- Booker T over Ultimo Dragon by missile dropkick
- Wow....this is going be cool...
- Lockup to start...Ultimo backed into the corner, clean break...
- Booker and Ultimo lock again, headlock by Booker, taking Ultimo down to an armbar, Ultimo gets to his feet and flips out of it...
- Ultimo whips, reversed by Booker T, re-reversed by UD, drop toe hold...UD lets Booker T to his feet...
- Booker takes the advantage, slam. Ultimo brought back up to his feet, whipped, ducks a clothesline but not a Booker forearm....2 count
- Both men to their feet, Booker T with a hard kick and clothelines Ultimo over the top...
- Ultimo makes his way in, just to get whipped by Booker. Dragon sees the Sidekick coming and ducks
- Ultimo turns around and does his usual series of kicks, knocking the TV champ to the mat...
- Ultimo stomps on Booker a little, then sets him up in the corner for a couple forearms and kicks to the stomach....Booker falls to the mat
- Ultimo gets in a chinlock and than a figure four sleeper briefly...
- Ultimo picks up and slams T to the mat, elbow and a near fall
- Ultimo whips Booker, reversed, backdrop by Booker but Ultimo gets up quick.
- Booker blocks a hiptoss, Ultimo elbows him and knocks down Booker with this cool looking bodyblock
- According to G.P. Ryan, the ICON of Worldwide reporting, that's a Quebrada bodyblock...
- Ultimo whips Booker in to the corner, handspring elbow! but only a one count
- Booker blocks a suplex, tries for his own but Ultimo lands on his feet...Dragon Sleeper attempt is blocked
- Ultimo tries a modified surfboard, but blocked, so he whips Booker, but that's reversed.
- Booker decides it's time to hit the trademarked moves...115th street slam, Harlem sidekick, sidewalk slam (well, that's not trademarked) and the missle dropkick to finish of the Dragon
- COOOOL Matchup...
- Next week, I may bring back that warning as we've got High Voltage, Vincent, Marty Jannenty and Goldberg next week. Hmm...I might actually root for Vincent if he's facing Goldberg....
