WCW Worldwide - Saturday, 8/1/98
- I've got no good reason for skipping on results, yet I'm
doing it anyway. Ooops. Instead, you get results and
smart remarks from me.
- Anyways, to tie some ends up...
- According to a mail I got from Peter Stein,
Psychosis's "millaonare de Tijuana"
nickname comes from the fact that in real life,
he IS worth several million dollars. Apparently he
inherited a business from his father and has done
a good job with it. He doesn't really have to
wrestle for the money...although I'm sure he
doesn't mind getting it.
- Man, if I was him and my contract came
up, I'd bolt to the WWF or ECW, even if
it was less cash. That doesn't seem to
matter and it's not like he'll ever get a
legit win over Mysterio or Juvie. With
the lack of quality of LHs in the WWF,
they could really use something like him.
- Oh yeah, Pulcini reminded me that I saw
that in TNM 7
beta I've got on my system. To parphrase
the Oustiders, "Buy the Game!"
- Oh, and before I go on, I guess I should mention that
Barbarian vs Meng was announced on some versions
of Worldwide. It wasn't mentioned in broadcasts in places
like Chicago, where hype of upcoming live shows takes
priorty.
- That's far from being confirmed, though. You all
remember last week they announced DDP vs Hogan
and...well...I kinda wish that match HAD
happened.
- Ultimo Dragon over Saito by Dragon Sleeper
- Saito is not related to Masa Saito, as the announcers tried to make clear.
- Ultimo Dragon is not related Rick "The Dragon" Steamboat, which no one made clear to Steamboat.
- Sick Boy over Julio Sanchez by the Cure (Pedigree)
- I'm just waiting for someone in the Flock to start using a sleeper, so they can call it Nirvana...
- Disco Inferno over Kendall Windham by the Party Crasher
- Just so you can feel like you were there: DISCO FEVER, DISCO FEVER, DISCO FEVER, YEA YEA YEA YEA!
- Juventued Guerrera/Psychosis over Los Dos Villanos by Juvy Driver on Villano V
- Psychosis hits a moonsault to the outside on Villano IV at the end of the match...
- Next week, it's going get scary. Hugh Morrus, Bulldog and Anvil and Vincent.
