And what's this with these crap storylines and slow wrestling? Compared to 10 years ago, all matches are: SHORTER, SLOWER AND UGLIER (as in punch-punch-kick-kick instead of suplex, backbreaker...If I want to watch kick-boxing, I'll tune in somewhere else thanks!). More (technical) action is what I want.
Also, if you heard the announcing during the Kidman/Misterio matchup on Nitro, they mentioned that the reason that match went to a time-limit draw was due to TV constraints that prohibit long matches like you (and myself) are used to in the past. On a related note, who has been wrestling the longest and most interesting matches since Fall Brawl? Kidman. Hopefully, WCW will go against the grain and allow him to keep that Cruiserweight belt for a while.
Maybe the angle can be that Hulk Hogan and Scott Steiner and Eric Bischoff are using their Hollywood connections to try to intimidate Rick Steiner. Since they think Rick is stupid, they figure Chucky might scare him.
On another related note, I saw a commercial for the new Adam Sandler movie, The Waterboy. They showed a clip in which The Giant was on TV laughing at Adam Sandler's character for wanting to be a 31-year-old waterboy. As much as I like Adam Sandler, I seriously hope we don't have another movie tie-in.
