- Wow! Two weeks in a row!
- We see a black limo pulling up to the Phillips Arena in Atlanta
- Hogan is in the limo.
- Lord. A bunch of little kids in Hulkamania gear come up to ask for autographs.
- Hogan talks to one little kid.
- Sting sneaks around the limo and says, in a little-kid voice, "Can I have your autograph too?"
- Sting kicks Hogan a few times in the knee.
- Hogan is down as Sting leaves.
- A look back at last week.
- And we're LIVE from Atlanta!
- Tonight: Benoit vs. The Cat, Goldberg, Psychosis vs. Kidman in a hair-vs-mask match, and the six-man main event of Sting/DDP/Luger vs. Flair/Hogan/Hart.
- Mike Tenay is out with Hogan The Gimp
- Hogan brushes off Tenay's questions to go into the building.
- We see Sting in the back, saying "It looks like I didn't get the job done."
- Match 1: Earnest Miller (w/Sonny Oono) vs. WCW World Television
Champion Chris Benoit
- Kitty B. Badd makes his way out in a new pimp-suit.
- I swear, if they job Benoit to this fool....
- Heenan's commentary gets a bit more old-school as he says "The Brain is back."
- Kitty dances.
- Sign: "The Cat lives in my neighborhood (no, really)"
- Kitty gets on the stick.
- Kitty does his usual schtick.
- Sign: "Cat-Bo saved my life"
- Kitty tells a fat girl to block for the Falcons.
- Kitty wants a title shot.
- The crowd pops as Benoit makes his way out.
- Kitty says he wanted to start at the top, but since they sent Benoit out, he'll start with Benoit.
- Benoit chops Kitty down to start.
- Kitty quickly bails.
- Kitty begs off.
- Kitty has "Godfather" on his tights.
- Benoit whips Kitty into the corner, but Kitty sends Benoit into the buckles and kicks him down.
- Superkick from Kitty.
- Kitty chokes Benoit in the corner, and hiptosses him out.
- Benoit tries a sunset flip, but Kitty blocks it.
- Benoit recovers to complete the move for two.
- Kitty with another superkick as they get up.
- Kitty stops another Benoit comeback.
- Kitty continues the offense.
- Oono gets some kicks in on the floor.
- Benoit reverses a whip, sending Kitty into the guardrail.
- The advantage is short-lived.
- Benoit with another brief comeback.
- Benoit ducks the Feliner and hits a clothesline.
- The thumb goes across the throat.
- Oono jumps on Benoit's back.
- Kitty goes to hit Benoit with the loaded shoe, but Benoit ducks, and Oono eats the footwear.
- Benoit with a German suplex!
- Benoit hits the swandive!
- Benoit picks Kitty up, and locks on the Crossface!
- Kitty holds on briefly, but taps! Benoit wins!
- Sid promo.
- Match 2: Vampiro vs. Buff Bagwell
- Apparently, Vampiro cronies ICP have been let go by WCW.
- His opponent: Buff Bagwell.
- Buff's shaved off his moustache, leaving just the pencil-thin goatee. An interesting look.
- Buff works the hometown heat.
- They shove each other to start.
- Spin kick from Vamp.
- Vamp kicks Bagwell down in the corner.
- Vamp hits a rope-bounce bulldog.
- Vampiro goes up top, and hits a spinwheel kick for one.
- Buff reverses a corner whip into a monkey flip.
- They trade some reversals, and Buff flips Vampiro with a clothesline.
- Vamp goes for a frankensteiner, but Buff turns it into a powerbomb.
- Backdrop from Buff.
- They go to the floor, and Vamp introduces Buff to the steps.
- The ref in this match looks like it's the same guy who used to be Scott Steiner's personal nWo referee.
- Bagwell fights out of a chinlock.
- They trade punches, and Vampiro hits the Nail in the Coffin.
- Vamp goes up top, and hits a top-rope clothesline. Bagwell kicks out at two!
- Vamp goes back up top again, and misses a guillotine legdrop.
- Inverted atomic drop by Buff, followed by a regular one.
- Cross-body off the ropes from Buff, but Vampiro gets an enzuigiri.
- Vamp signals to the crowd.
- Vamp puts Buff up top, but Buff blocks the top-rope superplex.
- Buff hits the Blockbuster for the pin.
- Tony and Brain chat for a bit
- A demonic voice calls Tony's name.
- We see a picture of a window with clouds going by as the voice says "This is the beginning of the darkness that will befall you."
- We fade to black.
- Uh.....WTF?
- We see some crazy funeral thing, Lex Luger's ghost and a woman in black.
- Luger's "ghost" says "He lies Lex Luger. A fine man and great champion, but he's no longer with us."
- The woman in black is then at a graveyard, with Lex's ghost, and tosses some flowers in the grave.
- Smells like Sports Entertainment to me.
- The woman in black comes down the aisle, and takes off her veil and dress to reveal Miss Elizabeth.
- Tony says that they can't refer to Luger as Lex Luger anymore, but rather as The Total Package.
- Luger is kneeling in the ring, and flexes as the lights come on.
- He looks like the same Luger to me.
- Luger flexes as the announcers talk about "the new Luger"
- This is absurd beyond words. Who do they find to write this crap?
- In the back, the doctor is working on Hogan's knee
- Hogan says he can't bend his knee, so the doctor should just cut his pants off.
- Sting runs in and hits another bat-shot to the knee.
- Yes!
- Cubs Fan - But, bat shots to Hogan should be like Lay's Potato Chips...you can't have just one!
- Match 3: Rey Mysterio Jr. (w/Kidman, Konnan, and Eddy Guerrero) vs. Dean Malenko (w/Shane Douglas, Saturn, and WCW World Television Champion Chris Benoit)
- Rey-Rey makes his way out with the rest of the Filthy Animals.
- His opponent: Dean Malenko.
- Shane Douglas gets the city right asking if Atlanta is ready for a revolution.
- The two factions jaw at each other before the match.
- Douglas tells Malenko that he's got his back. Malenko says he doesn't want the help.
- Malenko sends the Revolution back to the dressing room.
- Mysterio sends the Filthy Animals back as well.
- This is a battle of former Cruiserweight champions.
- Lots of trip-ups and reversals to start, ending with an exchange of armdrags.
- The crowd applauds the effort.
- They fight on the turnbuckles, and both men fall to the floor.
- Malenko goes for a powerbomb, but it's reversed a few times into a rollup.
- Rey gets out of an inverted suplex.
- Rey goes for the springboard hurricanrana, but Dean turns it into a NICE Ligerbomb for two.
- Malenko with a torture-rack setup into a pendulum backbreaker.
- Rey rolls Malenko up, but Malenko turns it into the Cloverleaf. Mysterio escapes to the ropes.
- Sid and Rick Steiner arrive to the arena in a split-screen.
- Sid parallel parks his car nicely. He's got 'roid rage, but not road rage.
- Rey manages to catch Malenko in a crucifix for the pin!
- The crowd applauds both men, and they both shake hands.
- Match 4: Hugh Morrus (w/Jimmy Hart) vs. Bill Goldberg
- We immediately go to the next match.
- Jimmy Hart brings out Hugh Morrus.
- Hart calls out Goldberg.
- This will be a rematch of Goldberg's first televised WCW match.
- Goldberg with the five-hour entrance.
- Goldberg starts off with a NICE dropkick.
- Superkick from the former champ.
- They go to the floor.
- Morrus gets introduced to the ring steps.
- Goldberg with the over-the-shoulder powerslam on Morrus back in the ring.
- Goldberg swats at Jimmy Hart.
- Morrus dumps Goldberg to the floor, and Sid chairs him.
- Morrus tries to take the advantage.
- Morrus slams Goldberg, and goes up top.
- Morrus hits a top-rope elbow.
- Morrus is dazed from the move.
- Morrus continues to beat on Goldberg.
- Morrus stomps on Goldberg's face.
- Goldberg's shin is bleeding.
- Goldberg starts the comeback.
- Another slam from Morrus.
- Morrus signals for the No Laughing Matter.
- Morrus connects with the moonsault. Just like Win #1, Goldberg kicks out.
- Morrus with an avalanche in the corner.
- Goldberg immediately Hulks up and spears Morrus.
- Jackhammer. Splat. Win.
- Goldberg gets on the mic.
- Goldberg calls Sid out right then.
- Goldberg: "I've never been so serious about kicking one man's ass in my life."
- We see an ambulance leave.
- Nitro Girls thingy.
- Match 5: Evan Karagias vs. Beryln (w/Bodyguard)
- Evan hails from Charlotte, NC.
- His opponent: Berlyn.
- We see the Berlyn/Armstrongs confrontation from last week.
- Berlyn and the bodyguard make their way out.
- "USA" chant starts off early.
- David Penzer relays the message that Beryln demands total silence during his match.
- Tony: "A sure-fire way to not get it is to ask for it."
- Berlyn opens up early on Evan.
- Evan gets out of an armdrag and hits a dropkick to the gut.
- Headscissors from Evan.
- Berlyn begs off, but goes to the eyes.
- European uppercuts from the European.
- Running knee from Berlyn.
- Overhead belly-to-belly from Berlyn.
- Berlyn goes up top, but gets caught and crotched on the top rope.
- Evan goes up top, and hits a cross-body for two.
- Evan avoids a dropkick, and drops an elbow.
- Evan goes for a springboard moonsault, but gets hit in the head by the bodyguard.
- Berlyn finishes it with the neckbreaker.
- Post-match, Berlyn applies a chinlock to Evan.
- Brad Armstrong runs in to kick Berlyn off.
- The bodyguard hits Armstrong in the back of the head.
- The Germans beat up Armstrong.
- In the back, Goldberg kicks Sid's dressing room door in.
- The guy in there says that Sid gave him his keys to pull his car around, but wasn't there.
- Goldberg takes the keys and leaves.
- In the back, David Flair is on the phone.
- He's calling for Torrie.
- He asks for "The number," then looks upset.
- Match 6: Barry Windham and Kendall Windham (w/Curt Hennig and Vincent) vs. WCW World Tag Team Champions Harlem Heat
- The West Texas Rednecks come down.
- This will be a return match for the World Tag Team titles.
- The Patron Saint has a stylin' headband on tonight.
- Stevie mugs for the camera.
- Booker and Kendall start out.
- Booker hits a sidekick on Kendall, and then continues to dish out the pain.
- Barry and Stevie tag in, and it's still the Heat in control.
- Commercial.
- As we come back, Hennig is beating on Booker on the outside.
- He rolls Booker back in to Kendall.
- Booker eats a DDT from Barry.
- It's a donnybrook as everyone's in the ring.
- Something happens as Stevie Ray takes out Barry's knee with the tag title belt.
- Booker pins him.
- I think I must have missed something in that match - it was weird.
- We see Goldberg calling a towing company in the back.
- Match 7: Rick Steiner vs. Van Hammer
- Dogface Gay Biker makes his way out.
- Uninspired mic work.
- Steiner is out to accept Van Hammer's challenge to Sid.
- Hammer comes out.
- Steiner jaws at him.
- Steiner beats on Hammer, then hits a Steinerline.
- They take it outside, and Steiner continues to beat on Hammer, having a good time in the process.
- Hammer's gotten no offense in.
- Hammer tries a comeback, and hits the Flashback.
- Hammer tries for the Cobra Clutch Slam, but Charles Robinson grabs his arm in a wristlock.
- Steiner tells Robionson to look away, and kicks Hammer in the jewels.
- Steiner then hits the SBOD for the win.
- Footage from Bret Hart eating a baseball bat two weeks ago.
- Mean Gene calls out Bret Hart
- Hart makes his way out.
- Hart looks fine from the "bat shot."
- Hart says he took a couple of stitches, but he tells Luger that it will take a hell of a lot more than that to stop him.
- Hart says he's back in wrestling.
- He talks about the history of wrestling, and calls Hogan the "Elvis Presley of Wrestling."
- Ric Flair makes his way down in a suit.
- Hart says he has more respect for Ric Flair than anyone else.
- He calls Flair the best there is, etc., etc.
- Flair: "Let's get something straight, my friend."
- Flair proposes that no matter what's happened in the past, tonight they kick Sting, Page, and Luger's ass.
- Flair goes spastic.
- Flair: "Liz, you want to get in the ring, I'll ride you too."
- We see David Flair talking to Torrie Wilson on a split-screen
- She's in the locker room with the Filthy Animals
- David gets suspicious, and hangs up.
- Sid is in the back looking for his car. The guy tells him that Goldberg took the keys.
- Match 8: Konnan vs. Perry Saturn
- Gonnad.
- Catchphrases.
- His opponent: Perry Saturn.
- Konnan starts off with a hiptoss.
- Saturn with a takedown into an armbar.
- Konnan with a dropkick.
- Saturn hits a superkick, but Konnan blocks a suplex.
- Konnan tries the rolling clothesline, but Saturn turns it into a head-and-arm suplex.
- Saturn takes Konnan down with a falling armbar, then applies another armlock.
- Belly-to-belly from Saturn, who locks on a cross-armbreaker. Konnan gets to the ropes.
- Double-clothesline spot.
- As we come back, Saturn is packing above the prone Konnan.
- Saturn locks on another armlock.
- Saturn goes up top, and hits a big elbow.
- Konnan kicks out at two.
- Konnan powerbombs Saturn coming out of the corner, and rolls him up for two.
- Suplex from Saturn for two.
- Konnan takes Saturn off the top with a type of inverted Razor's Edge.
- The rolling clothesline connects.
- Mule kick into the carpetmuncher.
- Chavo, Psychosis, Silver King, and and Juventud run out to beat on Konnan.
- The Filthy Animals run out to brawl with Chavo's crew.
- Saturn and Eddy beat on each other.
- Shane Douglas runs out to pull Saturn out of the ring. He and the rest of
the Revolution have words.
- Sid comes out to his car, looking for his keys
- Sid goes back inside as a tow truck pulls up.
- Promo for Flair/DDP.
- We see Goldberg talking to the tow truck driver, who takes Sid's car away.
- Gene calls out DDP
- Gene introduces DDP as a three-time World Champion.
- Gene wonders where DDP's cohorts are tonight. Well, we've seen both Sting and Luger.
- DDP says that the crowd loves him because he's married to the most beautiful woman in the world.
- They also hate him for the same reason.
- They'll never forget him, not because of Kim, but because DDP delivers the goods.
- DDP has trouble remembering to call Luger "The Total Package."
- Jesse Tuggle of the Falcons, Ricky Medlocke of Lynrd Skynrd, Dusty Hill of ZZ Top, and John Popper of Blues Traveler are in the crowd tonight.
- Background on the Psychosis/Kidman match.
- Match 9: Hair-vs-Mask Match: Psychosis vs. Billy Kidman
- Psychosis has scissors and shaving cream with him.
- Kidman comes out next, and says hello to a guy in a barber chair up on the ramp.
- Psychosis plays to the crowd, gets some boos, and attacks Kidman.
- Psychosis whips Kidman into the guardrail.
- Kidman with some headscissors and a dropkick.
- Psychosis ducks, sending Kidman to the floor.
- Split-legged Asai moonsault from Psychosis to the floor.
- Psychosis comes off the top back in the ring, and gets dropkicked in the gut on his way down.
- Kidman goes for the mask.
- Chavo Jr. and Juvi come down and distract Kidman.
- Psychosis PLANTS Kidman with the DDT.
- Kidman comes off the ropes with a clothesline.
- Psychosis avoids a backdrop, and dropkicks Kidman in the head.
- Psychosis puts Kidman up top, and frankensteiners him off the top for two.
- Kidman fights back, but Psychosis sends him to the floor, where Chavo gets his kicks in.
- Psychosis atomic-drops Kidman crotch-first over the top rope, goes up top, and spinwheel kicks him to the mat. Only two, though.
- Psychosis avoids a dropkick.
- Kidman hits the Rydeen Bomb for two.
- Psychosis dropkicks Kidman in the knee.
- Psychosis goes up top, but Kidman catches him.
- Psychosis with a split-legged gourdbuster from the second turnbuckle. Only two again.
- Heenan: "Psychosis has some long hair. That could be Cher!"
- Kidman with a powerslam, and he goes up top.
- Juvi drags Psychosis out of the ring.
- Chavo runs in and delivers the Tornado DDT to Kidman.
- Psychosis covers, but Kidman kicks out at two!
- Kidman with a rollup for two.
- Kidman flips out of a backdrop suplex.
- Juvi runs in and delivers the JuviDriver to Kidman.
- Psychosis covers! Only two again!
- Oh no! Psychosis tries to powerbomb Kidman!
- Facebuster. Kidman nails Chavo and Juvi, and goes up top.
- Kidman hits the Shooting Star Press for the win!
- Kidman tries to remove the mask, and gets it halfway off, before Chavo and Juvi attack.
- Kidman hits the tornado bulldog on Psychosis, ripping the mask off in the process!
- The rest of the Animals run down to celebrate with Kidman.
- Good match!
- We see Sting walking with Total Package, DDP, and Liz.
- We see, in another area, Flair walking to the ring.
- Match 10: WCW World Heavyweight Champion Sting, The Total Package, and Diamond Dallas Page (w/Miss Elizabeth) vs. Ric Flair and Bret Hart
- Michael Buffer does the honors
- Buffer announces it as a handicap match.
- The heels make their way out first.
- Ric Flair's music brings out Flair and Hart.
- Buffer gets Hart's name right.
- I guess I'll have to shorten The Total Package's name to "TP"
- Sting and Flair lock up.
- Sting shoulderblock Flair down, and press-slams him.
- Flair avoids the Stinger Splash, and chops Sting.
- Sting no-sells the chops.
- Flair goes to the nads.
- He does it again.
- Sting goes to the eyes, and tags in TP.
- TP has a new design on his trunks.
- Flair tags Hart.
- Hart with an inverted atomic drop, clothesline, atomic headbutt, gutshot, Russian legsweep, diving forearm, and he goes for the Sharpshooter.
- DDP breaks up the Sharpshooter.
- DDP tags in and beats on Hart.
- Sting tags in to continue the beating on Hart.
- TP tags in.
- Hart tries the comeback, but TP goes to the eyes.
- Hart with a small package that DDP breaks up.
- Hart gets triple-teamed in the corner.
- Sting with a NICE standing dropkick.
- Flair deals with Sting, allowing TP and DDP to beat on Hart.
- TP's new tights look like the London Monarchs logo from NFL-Europe.
- Double-clothesline spot.
- Hart tags Flair.
- Flair takes on the heels.
- Flair takes all three down, and chops Sting.
- Sting gets sent over the top rope.
- Backdrop suplex from Flair.
- Flair grabs the leg as Hart takes care of the other two heels.
- Flair drops the Figure Four, then applies it again.
- Elizabeth gives the baseball bat to Luger, who chokes Hart with it.
- Luger enters the ring, and hits Flair with the bat. Billy Silverman calls for the DQ.
- David Flair comes in to attack the heels, but he gets beaten down.
- We see an empty ambulance in the back.
- DDP diamond-cuts David Flair, TP racks Ric Flair, and Sting puts the Scorpion Deathlock on Hart.
- The heels celebrate in the ring by batting Hart around a bit more.
- Hogan gimps down the aisle.
- Hogan rolls into the ring and, of course, takes out all three heels with a
bad leg.
- Hogan delivers bat shots to DDP and TP. Sigh.
- Sting bails before getting batted.
- We see Sid going out to the parking lot to find his car flattened. He hollers for Goldberg as we fade to black....
