WCW Saturday Night - Saturday, November 20, 1999
- Well I am once again swamped for time, but this time I called the matches a little
better, but still not as in detail as before. To make up for it though I am going to
through in a quick opinion piece here at the beginning.
- Wonder Twin Soapbox activate!! First of all, I busted a damn gut during the JR
impersonation. I will admit that the Bell's Palsy portion of it was iffy, but
if JR is willing to let it be an angle not once, but twice then I would say that he's
pretty cool with it. Secondly, JR takes enough pot-shots at WCW in his little column
that I think a few instances of turn-a-bout being fair play are warranted. Now onto
my second rant. Russo and Ferrara are forgetting something very important about
their supposed rejuvenation of the WWF. They could show as much T&A as they
wanted three years ago and the ratings would still have been in the toilet. The
symbolifixion, the evening gown matches, etc. all of that stuff was just icing on the cake
for the two things that brought that company back from the ratings slump it was in, Stone
Cold Steve Austin and Degeneration-X. None of these side show antics they are using
right now will work until they find two big stars or groups to base the entire
organization around. They have Goldberg, but they need to make him a bit more
interesting as far as personality and they have the Filthy Animals which could make a good
young upstart group. The only problem is that I don't think they can't turn either
of these entities into anything, but a weak copy of their counter-parts. Anyway, I
just wanted to say that because Russo and Ferrera just aren't "getting it" so to
speak.

- We return to a discussion of everything Sid. We get a replay of everything that
happened with him this last Nitro.
- Match #4 Sonny Siaki vs. Chuck Palumbo
- Well once again it's time for a long story short.
- A quick note though, way back when DDT Digest did the guide to Lash LeRoux. I
believe that in the write-up about the powerplant Sonny Siaki was one of the guys trying
out that made it. So that's an interesting bit of trivia.
- Long story short: Both men traded weak offense and Palumbo won with a superkick that is
now being called the Jungle Kick. Oh please, just spare me that one.

that gay little dance.
- His opponet is a guy with future jobber written all over him.
