- We start off with the normal Nitro opener.
- And we're LIVE from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for WCW Monday Nitro!
- Mean Gene is in the ring to start off, nearly guaranteeing a bad show
- He calls out Jeff Jarrett.
- He comes out with the ubiquitous guitar.
- Jarrett grabs the mic, calls Gene "Slapnuts", and does the interview himself.
- He says he's the chosen one.
- He doesn't need the Powers or the Outsiders, but he just needs the WCW title.
- He talks about Dustin Rhodes screwing him out of his destiny.
- The censors try to bleep the crowd chanting "Asshole", and fail miserably.
- Jarrett says he's fixing to end Dustin's career at Starrcade.
- He says he'll even play Dustin's game, and challenges him to a Bunkhouse Stempede match.
- He makes allusions to Dustin's "old, fat daddy" inventing the match.
- Jarrett says that Mike Tenay will never show his face around Jarrett
- Jarrett threatens Gene with a guitar shot.
- Mike Tenay walks down the aisle.
- Tenay says that he WILL take matters into his own hands.
- Jarrett says he doesn't need any lawsuits, and wants to file things as a misunderstanding.
- Jarrett calls Tenay an "Eddie Munster lookalike."
- Jarrett calls for his music, and poses to the crowd.
- Jarrett attacks Tenay from behind, and applies the figure four!
- Goldberg runs in for the save, and chases Jarrett away.
- Tonight, Bret Hart vs. TP, Kevin Nash vs. Chris Benoit, DDP vs. Sid Vicious, Creative Control vs. Roddy Piper, with Roddy Piper as referee.
- The mob guys and Tony Marinara enter the building
- Tony berates them for letting Disco and Lash get the better of them.
- Tony says that Lash and Disco need to meet the boss tonight.
- Curt Hennig presents Curly Bill to Russo
- Hennig says Bill has a new idea for a gimmick.
- Bill: "One word - 'Shane'"
- Russo: "That's just as bad as 'Vincent', but at least he's thinking. Russo hires the new 'Shane'"
- Rhonda Singh comes in looking for an opportunity.
- We look back last week at Fit Finlay delivering a haircut to Brian Knobbs.
- We go to Brian Knobbs walking through the woods looking for Fit Finlay
- Finlay's in the woods, too.
- Finlay's apparently acting like a drill seargant to Knobbs, putting him through a workout.
- Match 1: WCW Hardcore Champion Norman Smiley vs. Rhonda Singh
- Smiley comes out with a Mark Chmura jersey and a cheese head. And the Hardcore belt.
- Smiley's got the stick.
- Smiley says that Finley's lucky he's not here tonight because if he was, Smiley would kick his booty.
- Smiley makes his challenge for a hardcore title match.
- His opponent: Rhonda Singh.
- Oh my Lord. This is so sad.
- Rhonda throws some plundah into the ring.
- Singh opens up on Norman with a trash can.
- Norman screams.
- The crowd starts chanting for Norman.
- Rhonda: "C'mon, be a man!"
- Norman recovers and nails Rhonda with a can.
- Norman's got a fire extinguisher.
- Rhonda meets him coming back in with a can, and delivers an avalanche splash in the corner.
- Norman avoids a second one.
- Norman gets the extinguisher.
- Norman's moustache is white.
- Norman reverses a whip into a table, and sends Rhonda into the table.
- Norman wanders around for a minute, and falls on her for the pin!
- Maestro and Symphony are at the piano
- Maestro says one of the keys is flat.
- He looks in the piano as Symphony looks on from the keyboard.
- Torgo comes in, puts his hand over Sym's mouth, and knocks the piano lid down on Maestro's head.
- He escapes with Symphony as the Maestro's down.
- In the back, Russo has Psychosis and La Parka
- Russo says that Juvi was supposed to give a return title match to Liger tonight, but he hurt his elbow.
- He says that he's about to sever Psychosis' and Parka's friendship.
- He says that whoever escapes the office gets to defend the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight title against Jushin Liger.
- Psychosis punks Parka, and leaves the room.
- TP has some champagne, and is looking for Liz
- He's at her door, and says tonight's the defining moment in their careers.
- Liz opens the door and lets TP in.
- There's a pizza at the door for Tony Marinara
- It's actually Disco and Lash.
- Match 2: Jushin Liger (w/ring entrance) vs. IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion Psychosis
- Liger gets a ring entrance.
- Defending the title for Juventud Guerrera, Psychosis.
- Wow! This will be the second time that Psychosis has been given a title only to job it in his first defense.
- Psychosis gets an early advantage against the ropes.
- Liger with some headscissors.
- Liger backdrops Psychosis over the top rope.
- Buzzkill is wandering the audience, giving out flowers.
- Liger with a baseball slide dropkick.
- He goes up top, and dives off onto Psychosis.
- Psychosis with a neck snap over the top rope.
- Psychosis hits a missile dropkick for two.
- Psychosis shoves Charles Robinson, who shoves him back.
- Psychosis puts Liger up top, and delivers a top-rope Frankensteiner for two.
- Liger with a rolling wheel kick.
- Liger with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker, and applies a surfboard that Psychosis escapes.
- Liger kicks Psychosis into the ropes, and rolls him up in a Mahistral Cradle for the pin and the title!
- La Parka comes out, and chairs PSYCHOSIS.
- Parka struts.
- The heel Nitro Girls play cards
- The mob guys are looking for Lash and Disco.
- Vito wants to play strip poker.
- TP butters Liz up.
- In the back, Maestro stumbles about looking for Symphony.
- Gene talks to Mona's breasts
- He talks about her three-way
- Mona says she's more than T&A, unlike Madusa.
- YES!
- Mona says she's going to prove that a woman can compete and win in a man's world.
- Match 3: WCW World Cruiserweight Champion Evan Karagias vs. Madusa vs. Mona
- If Madusa or Mona win, they'll get the Cruiserweight title shot.
- If Evan wins, there'll be no title shot.
- Sign: "Mona, will you marry me?"
- Hubba hubba.
- Madusa and Mona send Evan to the floor.
- Madusa with a legsweep.
- Evan joins the broadcast booth.
- Madusa blocks a rollup.
- Mona with an armdrag.
- Madusa unloads with some kicks.
- Madusa spanks Mona.
- Cross-body from Mona.
- Mona goes up top and hits a Missile Dropkick!
- Mona chokes Madusa.
- Evan runs back in to pull Mona off.
- Madusa then quickly rolls Evan up for the win and the title shot.
- Jeff Jarrett runs in, tosses Evan to the floor, and hits Madusa with a guitar shot.
- Jarrett rants to Goldberg.
- Jarrett challenges Goldberg.
- Lash and Disco have Tony Marinara tied up
- They say they have a surprise for him tonight.
- In the back, Liz has apparently agreed to team up with TP.
- Liz offers to pour the champagne, and pours it on on TP's head.
- She then leaves.
- Maestro haunts the halls
- He walks right past Torgo.
- Gene talks to Vampiro and Jerry Only
- Vampiro has Oklahoma's hat.
- He talks about taking out Dr. Death.
- Match 4: Steve Williams and Oklahoma vs. Vampiro and Jerry Only
- Oklahoma has a wireless mic on, so he can call the match.
- Their opponents: Jerry Only and Vampiro.
- Oklahoma wants to start off the match.
- Vampiro starts for his team.
- Vampiro moves towards Oklahoma, who runs to his corner and tags Doc.
- Doc with a clothesline and two three-point-stance tackles.
- Doc applies a spinning toehold.
- Oklahoma tags in.
- Doc has to show him how to do the spinning toe hold.
- Vampiro ducks a clothesline, and hits a Yakuza kick on Oklahoma.
- Only and Doc tag in.
- Only tries a sunset flip, but Doc blocks.
- Doc with a walking press-slam on Only.
- Vampiro back in, and he hits a missile dropkick.
- On the floor, Oklahoma whacks Only with a chair.
- Doc with a standing powerslam, but he pulls Vampiro up.
- Vampiro avoids a corner charge, and hits a Superkick.
- Vampiro goes up top, but Oklahoma hits him with his boot.
- Short-arm clotheslines from Doc, and a backdrop suplex.
- Oklahoma tags in.
- Oklahoma goes up top, but then he goes down to the first buckle.
- He drops an elbow on Vampiro for the win.
- Oklahoma gets his hat back.
- F**k you, WCW.
- In the strip poker game, the Nitro Girls are cheating to win. Eddy Guerrero would be proud.
- Disco is pouring molasses onto Tony Marinara, and they have a bag of feathers.
- Mean Gene talks to the Outsiders
- Nothing of note comes out of the interview.
- Match 5: WCW World Heavyweight Champion Bret Hart vs. The Total Package
- Why is the World Title match on at 9?
- TP takes his own sweet time coming to the ring.
- Hart attacks as TP takes his pants off.
- Hart beats the tar out of TP on the floor.
- Crowd: "Schiavone sucks!"
- Hart continues the advantage.
- Hart works the back.
- Hart switches to working the leg.
- TP gouges the eyes.
- Liz walks down the aisle.
- Sting comes down behind her.
- Sting asks: "Are you going to represent garbage, or are you going to represent me?"
- TP is distracted yelling at them.
- Liz leaves with Sting.
- Hart comes from behind and delivers a Russian legsweep to TP.
- Hart applies the Sharpshooter for the submission win!
- In another example of the horrible WCW production since the Powers took over, we see the Vincent/Shane and Rhonda Singh segment from earler tonight AGAIN.
- Midnight is looking for Harlem Heat.
- In the back, Russo offers La Parka the job as Chairman
- Parka is to stand in the corner. When Russo cracks his knuckles, Parka is to chair whoever is standing in front of the desk.
- Harlem Heat comes in.
- Russo apologizes to Heat, and offers them a tag title shot at Starrcade.
- He cracks his knuckles, and Parka chairs Booker T.
- Creative Control and Parka beat on Harlem Heat.
- Oh Lord no, Roddy Piper and his assistant are here.
- Torgo is rocking in the basement with Symphony, talking to the voices in his head.
- Gene talks to Jerry Flynn
- Flynn talks smack about Berlyn.
- He makes another open challenge for The Block.
- Match 6: Asya (w/The Revolution) vs. Midnight
- The Revolution is dressed in military outfits.
- Asya will be the wrestler in this match.
- Asya vaults over the ropes.
- Douglas is on the stick.
- Douglas rants about his constitutional rights to do whatever he wants to with the US flag.
- He says the country turned their backs on the Revolution.
- Douglas rolls up the US flag, and has Malenko unroll the flag of the Revolution.
- Saturn grabs the mic, and says that they're just like the Black Panthers. Power to the People.
- The lights go out, the clock strikes, and Midnight is in the ring.
- Asya starts off, but gets met with a dropkick.
- Midnight TOWERS over Asya.
- Asya recovers with a snap suplex.
- Midnight with a running kick, and applies a double chickenwing!
- Midnight tosses Asya down, and rolls Asya up for two.
- Asya with a type of hiptoss.
- Asya with a snapmare, but Midnight avoids an elbowdrop.
- Midnight hits a big vertical suplex for two.
- The Revolution comes into the ring to beat on Midnight.
- Hacksaw Duggan's music hits, and Mr. Foam 2x4 hits the ring.
- He takes out the entire Revolution for a while, but the Revolution finally overwhelms him.
- Douglas waffles him with his cast.
- They bury Duggan under the Revolution flag.
- GAH! They're bringing back the Nitro Party tapes
- It's a weird chick from Peoria, IL
- She's rocking back and forth saying that she thinks David Flair is totally cool.
- I think that was rigged. Pretty funny if it was.
- Match 7: WCW World Tag Team Champions Creative Control vs. Roddy Piper
Roddy Piper makes his way out. I turn the channel.
- Creative Control make their way out.
- Piper's got the stick.
- He calls the two "coneheads" inside.
- He says that until the bell rings, they have to do what Piper says.
- Piper says he's going to pat them down for foreign objects.
- He does the first one. The second doesn't want to.
- Piper does a lot of crotch-grabbing.
- Piper: "I'm having a ball."
- Piper has the ground rules. The only way to win is for one of them to say I Quit.
- The second rule is a kick in the nuts from Piper.
- Piper applies a lock to the hand of one of them.
- CC applies a doubleteam gutbuster.
- They do it again.
- Piper refuses to quit.
- They go to spike-piledrive Piper on a chair.
- Goldberg runs in for the save.
- Goldberg Jackhammers one of them as Piper chokes the other one with a belt.
- The choked one says I Quit.
- Piper raises Goldberg's hand.
- In the back, Tony Marinara is trying to talk his way out of trouble
- They douse him in molasses, and cover him with feathers.
- Tony: "Wait until my father...."
- Vito and the Bull continue playing cards
- The girls continue to cheat.
- Vito wants a winner-take-all hand.
- Maestro find's Symphony's shoe! She's doing a Cinderella angle!
- Match 8: Dustin Rhodes vs. Themonstermeng
- Dustin comes out dressed as Seven, but without the face paint.
- This is Dustin's first match back in WCW.
- His opponent, the Munster Meng.
- Meng will face Norman Smiley for the Hardcore belt at Starrcade.
- Dustin tosses his jacket over Meng's head and attacks.
- Shots to Meng's head don't work.
- Dustin comes off the ropes with a bulldog, but Meng no-sells.
- Meng continues to beat on Dustin.
- Jedoublef runs out, backdrops Meng over the top rope, and faces Dustin.
- Dustin gets Jarrett set up for Shattered Dreams.
- The Outsiders run out to stop it.
- Jarrett guitars Meng, who pops right back up.
- Nash delivers a big boot to send Meng to the floor.
- Nash powerbombs Dustin.
- Larry Zybsko is in the back
- Russo asks Zybsko why Thunder sucks now.
- Zbysko says there are no stars on the show.
- Russo says that all the A-list players are going to be on Thunder from now on.
- Russo says that he's going to replace the announcers, who suck.
- Zbysko takes some cracks at Curt Hennig.
- Russo says that if Hennig defeats Larry Zbysko in a match tonight, Zbysko can leave WCW.
- If Zybsko wins, Russo will leave WCW.
- The Artist Formerly Known as Prince Iaukea is in the back with a dove, dressed like the Artist Formerly Known as Prince.
- Match 9: Curt Hennig (w/Shane) vs. Larry Zbysko
- Hennig and the former Virgil/Vincent/Curly Bill come out.
- Zbysko comes out to Nitro's theme.
- Hennig's dressed like a West Texas Redneck.
- Zbysko with an armdrag and a bodyslam.
- Zybsko locks on a front chancery.
- Hennig fights back, but Zbysko hits a swinging neckbreaker.
- Hennig sends Larry into the corner.
- Chrales Robinson gets bumped.
- Hennig with a knee to the gut.
- Hennig takes out Zbysko.
- Hennig with a kneelift.
- That was a really early ref bump. Robinson is Rip Van Winkle over there.
- Hennig locks on an abdominal stretch.
- Hennig tries the HennigPlex, but Zbysko turns it into the choke sleeper!
- Shane comes in and beats on Zbysko.
- Hennig covers Zbysko as Shane wakes the ref up.
- Arn Anderson runs out with a baseball bat, and he nails Hennig and Shane with the bat!
- Zbysko covers as Rip Van Winkle wakes up!
- Zybsko wins!
- Creative Control comes out to show Charles Robinson the replay.
- Robinson raises Curt Hennig's hand, so Hennig wins by DQ.
- I thought Dusty Rhodes was in ECW now?
- In the back, Disco and Lash stuff an apple in Marinara's mouth
- The naked mobsters see what's happening on the monitor, grab their clothes, and run off.
- Match 10: Chris Benoit vs. Kevin Nash
- Benoit's new music starts off "Silent but Violent".
- His opponent - Kevin Nash.
- Nash starts off strong.
- Hall sits on a ladder doing commentary on the wireless mic.
- Benoit unloads with chops in the corner.
- Benoit works the knee.
- Nash kicks Benoit over the top rope.
- Nash works Benoit over on the floor.
- HUGE side suplex from Nash.
- Benoit rolls away from a big boot, and dropkicks Nash in the knee.
- Another dropkick to the head.
- Benoit works the knee.
- Benoit with chops.
- Benoit runs into a boot, and Nash hits a diving clothesline.
- The straps come down on Nash's outfit.
- He signals for the Jackknife.
- Benoit fights Nash down, and applies the Crippler Crossface!
- Hall takes out the ref, and pulls the ladder into the ring.
- Benoit dropkicks the ladder into Nash's face!
- Benoit pulls the thumb across the throat, and sets the ladder up.
- Benoit dives onto Hall, who rushed the ring to protect Nash.
- Nash hits a big boot on Benoit.
- Nash hits the Jackknife on Benoit.
- Hall goes to deliver the Outsider Edge on Benoit onto a ladder, but Sid Vicious runs down and saves Benoit.
- DDP is in the house.
- Mean Gene is in the back with Sting
- Gene asks about Liz.
- Sting says he's always stayed ahead of TP, and tells the Outsiders: "Don't sing it, bring it."
- The mob guys come out
- They come out to Godfather ripoff music.
- Vito says he's sick of the people, and he's sick of dose two utes.
- They call out Disco and Lash.
- Disco's music hits.
- The two girls who seduced the mob guys last week come out.
- Vito rants to the girls.
- Vito passes the mic to Johnny the Bull.
- Johnny says his mother told him not to hit a broad, but he'll make an exception.
- Vito says he didn't even want to sleep with the girls.
- Lash and Disco attack from behind.
- The tarred and feathered Tony Marinara comes out and waffles Disco and Lash with a lead pipe.
- Vito and Johnny beat up Disco and Lash, and carry them to the back.
- Maestro wanders through the back, hollering.
- The mob guys put Lash and Disco into a car
- They celebrate.
- The car drives off without any of the mob guys.
- The really bad film effects show us that the Maestro has wandered into The Block in his search for Symphony
- Flynn quickly deals with Maestro.
- He goes to leave, but opens the door to find David Flair, Symphony, and his crowbar.
- Torgo waffles him with the crowbar, and walks past the prone Maestro.
- Gene talks to Nick Patrick
- Patrick bars everyone from ringside unless they have some sort of legal business.
- He says it's time for the referees to take their power back.
- Sting walks
- DDP laces up his boots.
- Match 11: Scott Hall (w/Kevin Nash) vs. Sting (w/Elizabeth)
- Hall and Nash come out.
- Sting and Liz are second.
- Nash is in the broadcast booth, and Liz is at ringside.
- Hall tosses the toothpick, and Sting fights back.
- Inverted atomic drop from Sting, and a running clothesline.
- Nash gets up and chokes Sting.
- Nick Patrick ejects him from ringside.
- Hall applies an abdominal stretch.
- Sting escapes, but Hall avoids an elbowdrop.
- Hall slaps on a sleeper.
- Sting escapes with a backdrop suplex.
- Sting block a clothesline and comes back.
- Sting with punches in the corner.
- After three tries, he finally gets ten in a row.
- One final solid punch puts him down.
- Hall lands the fallaway slam.
- Hall signals for the Edge.
- Sting is down.
- Hall crotch-chops Liz, who maces him.
- Sting delivers two Stinger Splashes.
- Sting sits back in the Scorpion Deathlock, and Hall taps.
- Torgo drags Symphony toward the ring.
- Tony: "Diamond Dallas Page is walking!"
- Ric Flair's music brings out Torgo
- He has his crowbar, and Symphony by the hair.
- Flair says Maestro has about 10 seconds to claim his bride (?).
- DDP's music comes on.
- DDP makes his way out.
- Page ducks a crowbar shot, and delivers a Diamond Cutter.
- Page: "Hey Powers That Be, I got your PPV match with David Flair right here."
- Page talks about the rumors of he wanting out of his contract with WCW.
- The rumors also said that he wanted out to go to the WWF.
- Page says that he leaves with who brought him to the dance - it's about loyalty.
- He says that people that he trusted haven't been loyal to him.
- Page says he trusts no one.
- He calls for Sid.
- Sid makes his way out.
- Match 12: Diamond Dallas Page vs. Sid Vicious
- Sid shoves DDP away on a lockup.
- Sid shoves DDP over the top rope, and hotshots him on the guardrail.
- DDP tries to escape, but gets met with a short-arm clothesline.
- Page with a jawbreaker and a swinging neckbreaker for two.
- Sid kicks out with authority.
- DDP goes up top and hits a top-rope clothesline.
- DDP signals for the Diamond Cutter, and goes for it.
- Sid shoves DDP off into the ref.
- Kick to the gut, powerbomb.
- Sid signals for one more.
- Nash runs out, along with Hall.
- Sid fights them both.
- The Outsiders beat on Sid, but Chris Benoit runs out.
- He and Sid take the advantage, but Jeff Jarrett runs down to give the Outsiders the advantage.
- Bret Hart runs down to help.
- Hart fights all three heels.
- The crowd boos as security tries to restore order.
- DDP walks out.
- Nick Patrick: "Screw this, we have not had control all night long. As for myself, the referees, and security, we're out of here right now."
- As we come back, The Outsiders, Jarrett, and Creative Control are beating on Hart, Sid, and Benoit
- Goldberg hits the ring, and the heels clear.
- Roddy Piper's music comes on.
- The only referee left in the building - Roddy Piper.
- He wants Hart, Benoit, Sid, Hall, Nash, Patrick, and Gerald as lumberjacks.
- Jarrett wants no part of it.
- Three Green Bay Packers come down the aisle to force Jarrett to the ring.
- Dustin Rhodes runs down and throws Jarrett into the ring.
- Goldberg with a flying shoulderblock.
- Goldberg blocks a sunset flip for two.
- Goldberg catches Jarrett over his shoulder, and delivers a powerslam.
- Only a two-count.
- Jarrett rolls out into the unfriendly lumberjacks, who beat on him and throw him back in.
- Goldberg with a cross-armbreaker, but Jarrett rolls out again.
- The lumberjacks throw him back in.
- The lumberjacks brawl.
- Goldberg comes back in and gets chaired by Jarrett.
- Jarrett covers, but only gets two.
- Jarrett with a knee to the gut, and he goes up top.
- Jarrett with a flying cross-body for two.
- Jarrett slaps on a sleeper.
- Goldberg fights out with a type of urinage.
- Double-clothesline spot.
- Jarrett tries to intimidate Piper, but Goldberg schoolboys him for two.
- Superkick from Goldberg.
- Nash holds Goldberg's leg to block a Spear.
- Back in the ring, Hart waffles Jarrett with the World title belt.
- Goldberg spears Jarrett.
- Goldberg Jackhammer's Jarrett.
- Piper counts one....two....three for the win!
