It might interest you to know that the name Rhonda Singh was Bertha Faye's name while she was wrestling in the Calgary promotion Stampede Wrestling in the late 70s and 80s. She was aligned with the Great Gama's Karachi Vice and often teamed in mixed tag matches with Gama and Mahkan Singh (Norman the Lunatic), thus the Rhonda Singh name!
Rhonda Singh (aka Bertha Faye) was an awesome worker in the late 70s/early 80s, working for the both Stu Hart's Calgary Stampede promotion and All Japan Women's Pro Wrestling.
She held the WWWA World title (the title created by the legendary Mildred Burke) and was known as "The Monster Ripper."
If I'm not mistaken, she went to high school with Bret Hart and the two have remained friends ever since. Bret has been her hook-up in the biz since her career began.
I was surfing over at the Internet Movie Database, and I saw an article in which the following excerpt appeared:Company founder William Craig said that he expects to take a legal hit from the broadcast companies, telling the Toronto Globe and Mail, "We developed this in stealth mode, and I think this caught them by surprise. But you have to do that on the Internet, or else somebody else eats your lunch."I'm picturing The Barbarian in a suit and tie holding a press conference... With Michael Wallstreet as his CFO, of course.
I wanted to let you know I went to the Nitro Grill in Las Vegas. The Nitro Grill is on the second floor of the Excalibur Hotel and Casino. The Grill is set up similar to a Hard Rock Cafe. They had various wrestlers' autographed tights and ring garb on display. They also had Bash at the Beach, Road Wild, etc...decorations. There was only about ten people in the whole place watching Lenny Lane's match from Fall Brawl. Great match. I got a table and ordered the DDP Burger and fries, I wasn't up to the 16 oz Booker T-Bone. I asked my waitperson if the Hogan sandwich was Ham and Cheese. She didn't get it.The food was okay. I stopped by the Gift Shop on my way out and picked up a couple of shirts. I'm almost out of the casino when I remembered I didn't use my free gift coupon. If you ever been to Las Vegas you know every place has free gift coupons. Going back in I run into Ric Flair. Flair was great, he posed for a picture and gave me an autograph. Overall, if your in the Excalibur Casino, check out the Nitro Grill, but don't go too far out of your way to see it. Riding the coattails of this endeavor, the WWF's Grill is opening soon.
