• We see Goldberg getting frisky with the Outsiders in the shower.

• Nash, Hart, and Jarrett walk.

• And we're live from Houston, TX, for New Year's Evil
  • Actually, it's the Diet Coke of evil. Just one calorie - not evil enough.
  • Tenay, Dinky, and The Brain are at the booth.
  • We see Goldberg tearing his arm up attacking the limo on Thunder.
  • Tony says Hall is MIA, and they're supposed to defend the tag belts.
  • Bill Busch has "let his voice be heard" - if Hall doesn't show up at the arena by 7pm EST, the Outsiders will be stripped of the tag belts.
  • The PTB have booked a Lethal Lottery tag title tournament starting tonight, and continuing on next week.
  • There will be eight matches tonight.
  • Jeff Jarrett vs. Kidman, Bret Hart vs. Jerry Flynn, and Scott Steiner will retire.

• Match 1: Brian Knobbs vs. Bam Bam Bigelow
  • CCK - Chris "Champagne" Kanyon walks to the ring with two ho's and Mr. Biggs.
  • He's got a mic on.
  • This will be a hardcore match.
  • Out first, Brian Knobbs.
  • Knobbs' opponent - Bam Bam Bigelow, which would explain Kanyon's presence.
  • We see Maestro beating Bigelow on Thunder with Kanyon's help. Kanyon used a title belt to brain Bigelow.
  • Knobbs attacks Bigelow with a trash can as Bigelow jaws with Kanyon.
  • Knobbs takes it to Bigelow on the floor, but Bigelow reverses a whip.
  • They brawl into the crowd.
  • Kanyon goes to follow the action.
  • Bigelow fights with Kanyon, then signals for the Greetings on Knobbs.
  • Kanyon hits Bigelow with a title belt, and Knobbs covers for the pin.
  • Horrible camera work - you couldn't see the last half of the match.

• Sid and Chris Benoit get out of a car.
  • There's an nWo monster truck in the lot too.

• The nWo roughs up JJ Dillon
  • They give him the tag belts, and knee him in the groin.

• Wednesday at 8pm on TNT - the WCW "Best of 1999" show.

• The nWo inspects their monster truck.
  • They find Sid/Benoit's car in the middle of the parking lot.

• Sid makes his way down with a mic
  • Sid pumps the crowd up.
  • Sid rants to the nWo, saying that "payback will be a bitch."
  • Sid says he, Benoit, and Goldberg figured out that they have to watch each others' back.
  • Sid says he will be going for the WCW title against Hart.
  • Benoit makes his way out, with his own pyro.
  • Benoit talks some smack about Jarrett.
  • Benoit challenges Jarrett to a "Triple Theatre" match.
  • First, a Dungeon match. Then, a Bunkhouse Brawl. Finally, a "Caged Heat" match. One night, three matches: two out of three wins take it.

• The nWo spray-paints Sid's car.

• Benoit and Sid find the car.

• Match 2: Lethal Lottery Match: Buzzkill and Mike Rotundo (w/Varsity Club) vs. Konnan and Dean Malenko (w/Filthy Animals and The Revolution)
  • Buzzkill makes his way out.
  • His partner: Mike Rotundo of the Varsity Club.
  • Their opponents: Gonnad and Dean Malenko.
  • Rotundo and Malenko start out.
  • Kevin Sullivan has stolen Bill Alphonso's whistle.
  • Rotundo tags in Buzzkill.
  • Big hiptoss and backdrop from Armstrong.
  • Gonnad tags in.
  • Gonnad with the rolling clothesline, mule kick, and carpetmuncher.
  • Gonnad tags Malenko in.
  • Armstrong hits a sunset flip, Malenko turns it into the Texas Cloverleaf.
  • As the ref is distracted, Jim Duggan runs in with the 2x4 and hits Malenko.
  • Buzzkill covers for the win!

• Jeff Jarrett spray-paints WCW equipment, and goes out to the production truck
  • Jarrett can't get into the truck, so he and Hart yank the power lead to the truck.
  • The picture goes black.
  • Jarrett turns face!

• They come back on the air with a "snowy" picture as a limo pulls up.
  • Rick Steiner helps his brother out of the limo.
  • THe picture finally comes back.
  • Rick wheels Scott into the arena.

• The nWo attacks the FOOD! What diabolical deed can they do next? Is no condiment safe?

• Match 3: Shane vs. Tank Abbott
  • Shane is already in the ring.
  • His opponent: Tank Abbott.
  • We see Abbott destroy La Parka on Thunder.
  • Abbott takes Shane down right away.
  • He applies a front-chancery, and punches him in the corner.
  • Abbott punches Shane in the back of the head, and Shane's out.
  • Abbott continues the punishment, and security comes in to keep Abbott from brutalizing Shane.
  • Abbott leaves after flipping off Doug Dillinger.

• Scott Steiner retrospective.

• Steiner Brothers music brings out Scott and Rick Steiner
  • Rick wheels out Scott in the wheelchair.
  • Rick hugs Scott, and leaves the ring.
  • Scott talks about his medical report, and talks about needing another back surgery.
  • Steiner breaks down and cries after saying that he has to retire.
    
  • The crowd chants "Scotty".
  • Scott asks the crowd to pray for him.
  • nWo music hits.
  • Hart, Jarrett, and Nash make their way out.
  • Hart asks for a big hand for Steiner.
  • Hart tells Steiner to get his stinkin' ass out of the ring, because they don't have time for a washed-up nobody like him.
  • Hart: "Scotty, I'll be honest. You were never very good anyway."
  • The nWo tosses his wheelchair out of the ring.
  • Scott leaves the ring as the nWo acts weepy.
  • Hart tells the crowd to appreciate the fact that Hart still has his gold.
  • Jarrett kabongs a tech guy at ringside for some random reason.
  • We go to commercial.

• We come back with the nWo in the ring.
  • Nash tells whoever took their bats that it was a bad move.
  • Nash gives a "shout out" to WCW President Bill Busch.
  • Nash says that the PTB and nWo have things completely under control.
  • Nash promises that Scott Hall will be here tonight.
  • Jarrett asks if the crowd wants a survey, and says he has their survey "right here."
  • They talks smack about Houston.
  • Hart talks some smack to Goldberg.
  • Hart promises to destroy Sid like they destroyed his car.
  • They pass the mic to Jarrett.
  • Jarrett accepts Benoit's matches at Souled Out.
  • The spray-painted car drives up to the ring, and Sid and Benoit get out with baseball bats.
  • They clean house.
  • Curt Hennig runs in, but gets dealt with very quickly.
  • They toss Hennig over the top onto the car.
    

• Hennig gets taken away in an ambulance as we come back.

• Match 4: Lethal Lottery Match: Harlem Heat vs. Lash LeRoux and Midnight
  • Harlem Heat comes out as a team in the Lethal Lottery.
    
  • Sign: "Harlem Heat Welcome Home".

  • Lash throws Mardi Gras beads to the crowd.
  • The lights go out, the clock strikes, and Midnight is in the ring.
  • LeRoux and Booker start out.

  • Booker avoids a corner charge, and catches Lash with a Rock Bottom for two.
  • St. Stevie tags in and clubbers Lash.
  • Lash tries a sunset flip, but Stevie catches him and chokes him.
  • Lash tags Midnight.
  • Stevie shoves Midnight down.
  • Stevie with a shoulderblock.
  • Booker argues with Stevie as Midnight kips up.
  • Midnight ducks a clothesline, and hits a NICE snap suplex on Stevie for one.
  • Booker tags himself in by slapping Stevie's back.
  • Booker and Midnight lock up.
  • Booker goes for his back kick, but stops.
  • He and Midnight share a laugh, and Stevie yells at Booker.
  • Booker goes for a pendulum backbreaker, but lets her down gently.
  • Stevie comes in and argues with Booker.
  • Midnight punches Stevie.
  • Booker tries to talk to Midnight, but Stevie slapjacks Booker.
  • Stevie then slapjacks Midnight.
  • Stevie tries to leave, but Lash stops him.
  • Stevie slapjacks Lash, who falls on top of Booker.
  • Even though Lash wasn't the legal man, the ref counts the pin, and Lash and Midnight advance.

• Amway Chavo wants to talk to Bret Hart, but a midget in a "scream" costume beats him up.

• Match 5: WCW World Heavyweight Champion Bret Hart vs. Jerry Flynn
  • The holder of the most prestigious title in WCW makes his way out to face...

  • Flynn comes out in street clothes.
  • Flynn with an armdrag.
  • Stip for Hart/Sid at Souled Out: The title can change hands on a DQ.
  • Hart punches Flynn on a corner break.
  • Hart rakes Flynn's face over the top rope.
  • Hart dumps Flynn to the floor.
  • Flynn gets a bit of an advantage on the floor.
  • The nWo makes their way out.
  • Flynn with rapid-fire kicks in the corner.
  • Hart DDT's Flynn.
  • Flynn will be taking on Tank Abbott in The Block at Souled Out.
  • Hart with the Russian Legsweep.
  • Flynn pops up, but is sent right back down.
  • Flynn lands a spin kick.
  • Jarrett runs in and bats Flynn.

• Match 6: Lethal Lottery Match: PG-13 vs. Rick Steiner and Berlyn (w/Leia Meow)
  • PG-13 comes out as a team.
  • I guess WCW brought out these jokers to capitalize on the popularity of Too Cool.
  • They talk smack about the Tennessee Titans.
  • Rick Steiner comes out.
  • His partner is Berlyn.
  • Steiner doesn't look very happy right about now.
  • Starting next Monday, Nitro will be on from 8-10pm EST.
  • Beryln takes it to Wolfie D.
  • Berlyn jaws with his partner, allowing Wolfie to come bakc.
  • PG-13 hits a combo Russian legsweep and dropkick.
  • Berlyn slides out of the ring.
  • Steiner comes in and Steinerlines PG-13 out of their boots.
  • Steiner gutshots both PG-13'ers into the turnbuckles.
  • Berlyn walks out of the match.
  • Steiner suplexes JC Ice into the turnbuckles, and does the same to Wolfie.
  • Steiner puts Ice up top, and belly-to-bellies him off for the pin.
  • Steiner continues to punish PG-13, so ref Billy Silverman reverses the decision and awards the win to PG-13.

• In the back, Saturn talks to Duggan
  • Saturn says that a stooge in the office told him that it'll be he and Duggan against Asya and Norman Smiley.
  • Saturn says that as optically challenged as they are, there's no way they can get blindsided if they stand side by side.

• More Mr. Douglas Goes to Washington.

• Match 7: Lethal Lottery Match: WCW Hardcore Champion Norman Smiley and Asya (w/Dean Malenko and Shane Douglas) vs. Perry Saturn and Jim Duggan
  • Norman Smiley comes out in Astros catchers gear.
  • His partner: Asya, accompanied by Dean Malenko and Shane Douglas.
  • Their opponents: Perry Saturn and Jim Duggan.
  • Duggan's wife and kids are on the screen.
  • Duggan takes out Saturn while Norman hides behind Asya.
  • Norman hits the spinning bodyslam, and teases the SMBU.
  • Vertical suplex by the Hardcore Champ.
  • Smiley does the SMBU on Saturn.
    
  • Smiley dances, and Saturn German suplexes him out of his boots.
  • Saturn with a pumphandle suplex.

• Match 8: Billy Kidman vs. WCW US Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett
  • Kidman is out first.
  • His opponent: The US Champ Jeff Jarrett.
  • Kidman with a drop-toehold, but Jarrett avoids an elbowdrop.
  • Kidman with a spinning headscissors on the champ.
  • Jarrett hotshots Kidman on the buckles.
  • Jarrett eats boot charging the corner, and Kidman hits his tornado bulldog.
  • Jarrett tosses Kidman into the air.
  • Kidman ducks a clothesline and lands a dropkick.
  • Jarrett avoids a second one, and catapults Kidman over the top rope.
  • Nash and Hart come out to apply some punishment to Kidman.
  • Jarrett with a suplex.
  • Jarrett dropkicks Kidman, and goes up top.
  • Jarrett with a cross-body off the top, and Kidman rolls through for a two count.
  • Jarrett crotches himself trying to choke Kidman, but recovers to clothesline Kidman.
  • Jarrett locks on a sleeper.
  • Heenan starts to sing, and Tony calls him "Lee Marshall".
  • Kidman wakes up on the third arm check, and applies one of his own.
  • Kidman with the Rydeen Bomb.

  • Kevin Nash pulls the top rope down, and Kidman goes flying over the top rope.

  • Jarrett tries a Powerbomb, and you know what happens next.
  • As Kidman reverses the powerbomb, Heenan has the gall to say "I've never seen anything like that!"
  • Kidman goes up top, but Nash hits him in the ankle with the bat.
  • Jarrett then hits The Stroke for the pin.
  • The nWo takes out the Animals after the match.

• Mean Gene calls out Total Package and Liz
  • TP comes out dressed like Sting, to Sting's music.
  • Sting is scheduled to return at the end of January.
  • TP talks as Sting, and says that "The Total Package kicked my ass".
    
  • He continues talking about how much of a badass TP is.
  • The lights go out.
  • And when we come back, there are black roses in the ring.
  • Black roses are the symbol of death, or something.

• Nash is giving directions to Scott.

• Match 9: Lethal Lottery Match: Fit Finlay and Meng vs. Ron and Don Harris
  • Fit Finlay comes out first.
  • His partner, Themonstermeng.
  • Finlay attacks Meng at the bell.
  • Their opponents: The Harris Boys.
  • There have been way too many regular tag teams in the lottery.
  • The Harrises attack both men.
  • Double-big-boots on both men.
  • On the floor, Finlay and Meng fight.
  • The ref counts, and the Harris Boys win by countout.
  • Meng and Finlay brawl to the back.
  • The lights go out except for a blue strobe.
  • As the lights come on, someone has attacked the Harrises.
  • We got a look at the guy.

• David and Daphne talk about being Natural Born Killers.

• "Three Count" comes out, and talk about using and dropping girls
  • The Three Count video plays as the three dance.
  • Vampiro comes out and takes out Three Count.
  • Vampiro keeps Evan in the ring.
  • The ref comes out.
  • Apparently, Evan and Vampiro are a team.

• Match 10: Evan Karagias and Vampiro (w/Three Count) vs. David Flair and Maestro (w/Symphony and Daphne)
  • Their opponents: David Flair with Daphne and Maestro with Symphony.
  • David's buddy Crowbar attacks Maestro from behind.
  • David and Crowbar walk to the ring, but Vampiro planchas onto them.
  • Apparently, it'll be David and Crowbar on the team.
  • Crowbar is Devon Storm, if anyone's curious.
  • Crowbar with a NICE German suplex on Vampiro.
  • David tags in and suplexes Vampiro.
  • Slingshot somersault legdrop from Crowbar.
  • Vampiro with a double-facebuster DDT on both men.
  • Vampiro with a Rock Bottom on Crowbar.
  • Vampiro tags Evan in, and Evan gets dumped to the floor.
  • Crowbar comes off the apron with a splash on Evan.

  • Vampiro covers, but the ref won't count, because Evan is the legal man.
  • Evan and Three Count try to attack Vampiro, but Vampiro takes them out.
  • David and Crowbar doubleteam Vampiro.

  • Vampiro hits the Nail in the Coffin on David.
  • Three Count has the ref distracted, and Crowbar comes in to hit Vampiro with his pipe.
  • David covers for the pin.
  • Post match, Three Count dances again, but David and Crowbar beat them up.
  • Daphne and David kiss.
  • "Standards and Practices" enters the ring.
  • They are Lenny and Lodi, with a hot secretary.
  • They berate David, Daphne, and Crowbar, and threaten to remove them from WCW programming.
    
  • David and Crowbar attack S&P, and leave them in the dust.

• Match 11: Disco Inferno and Big Vito (w/Tony Marinara and Johnny The Bull) vs. Chris Kanyon and Buff Bagwell (w/J. Biggs and Ho's)
  • Disco Inferno comes out.
  • His partner, Big Vito.
  • Their opponents: Chris Kanyon and Buff Bagwell.
  • DDP will face Buff Bagwell at Souled Out.
  • Kanyon and Disco start off.
  • Johnny and Tony hit on Kanyon's women.
  • Disco with a knee-facebreaker on Kanyon.
  • Kanyon comes back with a Russian legsweep.
  • Kanyon tags bagwell in, and goes to deal with his women.
  • Kanyon sends the women to the back.
  • Buff double-clotheslines Disco and Vito.
  • Disco tags Vito, who gets met by Bagwell.

  • Post match, Tony Marinara orders Disco to hit Buff in the back of the head with the chain, and Disco does it.

• In the back, Nash is walking.

• Match 12: Lethal Lottery Match: Kevin Nash (w/Bret Hart and Jeff Jarrett) vs. Sid Vicious and The Wall
  • Nash, Hart, and Jarrett come out, but no Hall.
  • Nash: "Much to my chagrin, Scott Hall hasn't arrived yet. So if it's alright, I'd like to have a couple of minutes."
  • The first opponent: The Wall.
  • His partner: Sid Vicous.
  • Nash is claiming a "gas bubble" and waits at the announce table.
  • Nash and Wall start off.
  • Wall with a running avalanche in the corner.
  • Wall kicks Nash down.
  • Standing backdrop suplex from Wall.
  • Wall hits a big boot on Nash to zero crowd response.
  • Hart nails Wall in the back with a bat, and Nash hits a big boot of his own.
  • The nWo cheap-shots Wall as Sid is distracted.
  • Sid finally dumps the ref, and enters the ring.
  • Sid beats on Jarrett while Wall and Hart fight.
  • Nash hits Wall with a baseball bat, and pins him while Sid is choking Jarrett.
  • Nash advances.
  • Nash sets up to powerbomb Sid, but Benoit comes out and nails Nash.
  • Scott Steiner comes down with a baseball bat.
  • Sid chokeslams Jarrett.
  • Steiner enters the ring and scares Nash off with the bat, and tells Sid to powerbomb Jarrett.
  • Sid turns his back on Steiner, and Steiner nails Sid with the bat.
  • Steiner pulls off his back brace and shirt to reveal an nWo shirt.
    
  • Leaflets fall from the ceiling as the nWo chokes Sid out.
    
  • Jarrett brings the spray-painted car down, and they put Sid in the car.
  • The nWo drives off with Sid, with Nash on the hood.
  • They leave Sid in the car, and go for the monster truck.
  • The monster truck runs over the car as we fade to black...
  • Happy new year from the nWo! They hope you have a happy and prosperous 1997!
