The Worldwide report sort of confused me...
Now how exactly did it so happen that Palumbo hits his finisher,
then
Cornell hits a shoulderblock, then Palumbo covers Cornell...?
Yea, that was an error on my part. Palumbo was the one who came off
the top with the flying shoulderblock, not Cornell. Sorry about that.
For the record, my little cousin has the yellow AND red N64 controllers...and
uses them to play Mario Party, actually. And time slot changings are evil.
Worldwide here changed times AND channels weekly for about a month until
I eventually lost track. And...um...Alison~! or something.
I'm sorry, but the only 'cool' N64 colors are Blue, Black, Gray, and
the special Transparent one I got. Green and the Purple tinted ones I've
seen are also acceptable. Red and Yellow are too loud and bright...I need
my game controllers dark and quiet. As for the time changes, you'd think
they wouldn't do that to a show that people watch. And then you realize
it's this show, and you don't wonder that much. (Except for the fact that
besides Pokemon, wrestling's got to be one of the highest ratings getters
on my local channel, so who knows.)
It was interesting that Tony was using a THQ mug for the simple
reason that THQ lost the rights to the WCW license months ago and now is
making games for the WWF! In essence, Tony was promoting the WWF's
video games...was that a huge mistake or what?
Just goes to show the well thought out planning that goes into WCW shows
now a days. I mean, I'm sure they had to have an EA mug around there somewhere.
Or even an extra few thousand copies of Mayhem, given how well it sold.
Why is Worldwide always behind what actually is going on? It
really troubles me.
I don't know, and I've never gotten a real good answer on that. I'd guess the reason against switching it to 'real time' is they'd have to skip a week somehow, but I'm not sure why they even started a week behind. Maybe it's taped so late in the week, that it can't get to the stations on time for the Friday/Saturday showing of Worldwide or something. If anyone does have an answer, feel free to send it in
