I was reading the midweek report and I had to chuckle to myself when you mentioned the Nitro Grill gear. I live in Vegas and on my way to work, I spotted a black truck and trailer with a huge 'For Sale' sign. Well, to make a long story blissfully short, they were selling Nitro Grill merchandise on the side of the road! The funniest part was that they were selling the wall caricatures. Fresh off the walls! How is that for liquidation?!
This is kind of an off reference, but I was listening to the Mark Davis Show, which is a conservative radio show on WBAP Radio out of Dallas. A guy calls in to rag on Gore, and says "This guy's got a bigger ego that Hulk Hogan!"
I don't think Mark Davis got it, but I thought it was hilarious!
I just read your Mid-Week Report, and it made me think of something funny I read awhile back. According to The Great Muta's profile on WCW.com, he too was trained by Hiro Matsuda, the same man who taught Hulk Hogan. I found this astounding. What, did they teach The Leg Drop on first day, and then Hogan ran away, never to return? Was Hogan in Matsuda's remedial class?
To hear Luger also was taught by Matsuda is even more unbelievable. It's hard to imagine that the same man who had a hand in making Muta a top-notch wrestler is also linked to Lex Luger's blatently unrealistic Running Clothesline (or the "Running Luger Bomb" as I jokingly refer to it).
Then, few minutes later, the following headline scrolls across. This time, I knew better. (Click here.)
"Speak to me...people of Taiwan!!!!"
Some of you will feel sorry for her, and some will say that a fool and her money/time are soon parted. Either way, it's a cautionary tale to anyone out there trying to "hook up" with somebody famous.
