WCW Thunder Taping Results from Oklahoma City, OK - 02/08/00

Crowd was pretty loud throughout, and was only dead for the squashes like Bam Bam's match. No Hogan or Goldberg, although there were "Goldberg" chants even after the matches were over.

Matches seemed to make sense, and to have a purpose (building to Nitro and the Pay Per View). It seems to me that critics are ignoring the fact that young stars are being developed here, but the question is, how far will they be allowed to go? Also, the women are getting huge pops from the crowd, but will they be pushed like the WWF does, or will they be buried? I have no complaints about the live show, other than Goldberg not appearing, and the somewhat flat ending of the show. On a funny note, in their main event, Jarrett's legs missed Mickey Jay by a mile, but he sold it anyway. Final saw Scott Hall give the Edge at the same time Sid was giving a powerbomb, but Sid's timing was off, and Scott had to wait so that the finish wasn't spoiled.
