Since I was so curious about how Sting got under the ring, Christian McArthur was kind enough to send me the following posting on AOL from a person at the show in the third row:

Sting was under the ring last night from about 5:30 till the end of the show. When Nitro went off the air, the ring guys took the apron off the ring to fix the hole. Sting had a big blanket, TV monitor, fan, fresh air duct, microphone, and Gatorade. WCW didn't even try to hide the fact this was a set up as they repaired the ring and removed the props they built to hold the ring floor together.
