- We see a promo involving Hogan, Bischoff, Leno, and Page.
- And, for the third consecutive year, we're LIVE outdoors in Sturgis, SD, for Road Wild!
- They've got chairs, as well as bikes parked around the ring.
- Tony and Tenay are in their "biker gear," along with Bobby Heenan.
- We get some pyro up on the stage where Travis Tritt will be performing.
- Mean Gene is out on a bike, saying there are 200,000 bikers in the Black Hills this week.
- Gene plugs American Iron Horse's new bike.
- Match 1: Barbarian (w/Jimmy Hart) vs. Meng
- Zamfir introduces the special grudge match.
- Barbarian and Jimmy Hart get the first entrance. Even Hart's gone biker.
- Hell, even Penzer has gone biker.
- Meng comes out solo.
- Barbarian doesn't even wait for the bell, and the brawl-fest starts.
- Meng's wearing his "Faces of Fear" tights.
- Kind of a sumo lockup.
- Barbarian has a carrot or something on his tights.
- Meng with an avalanche clothesline.
- Big belly-to-belly from Barbarian.
- Barbarian tries a piledriver, but Meng backdrops him.
- Meng then hits a piledriver of his own.
- Jimmy Hart distracts Meng, who jumps up to the second rope.
- Meng misses the diving headbutt.
- Huge savate kick from Meng.
- Meng is slow going up top, and Barbarian catches him.
- Barbarian hits a belly-to-belly from the top!
- Meng with a powerslam, but another Hart distraction gives Barbarian an opening.
- A no-sell fest going on in the ring!
- Barbarian looks like he tries to slingshot Meng's neck into the bottom rope, but it doesn't work.
- Meng goes head-first into the steps.
- The match has slowed down quite a bit.
- Barbarian loads the boot, turns around, and gets a Tongan Death Grip.
- Barbarian goes out, and gets pinned.
- Jimmy Hart tries to pull Meng off, but Meng won't let go.
- Hugh Morrus runs in to pound on Meng, DQing Barbarian. Barbarian recovers enough to help with the attack.
- Jimmy Hart goes up top, and hits a splash from the top!
- Meng throws Hart off, Hulks up, but gets beat down again.
- Morrus slams Meng, and goes up to the top.
- Morrus hits a No Laughing Matter.
- Hacksaw Duggan runs in, and clears the ring of the heels.
- Meng is up again.
- Duggan starts a "USA" chant.
- Meng leaves Duggan in the ring.
- Downtown Sturgis is nothing but a sea of bikers.
- Match 2: Disco Inferno and Alex Wright (w/Tokyo Magnum) vs. The Public Enemy
- Yes! Disco!!!
- It's funny as hell seeing bikers doing the "Disco Inferno Shuffle."
- Alex Wright's music comes on.
- And Herr Wright actually comes out!
- Tokyo Magnum runs down, and dances along with them.
- Their opponents: Two Tubby Guys with a Table.
- Make that - Two Tubby Guys with Two Tables.
- Disco: "Do they have any showers in Sturgis?"
- Rocco Rock and Wright start off.
- Wright flips away from an attempted lockup.
- Chant: "Disco sucks"
- A Wright armdrag stops the chants.
- Tony with his customary "Full armdrag and twist" call.
- Disco tags in.
- Tony: "The reason Disco and Wright aren't popular is that when fans come out to WCW shows, they want to see wrestling, not dancing." That would explain "nWo Nightcap," right?
- Grunge tags in, and starts a clubberin'.
- Disco's clothesline stops that, and Wright tags in to hit a missile dropkick.
- Wright avoids a corner charge, dances, turns around, and gets a clothesline from Rock on the apron.
- Disco runs in, and gets a double flapjack.
- Tokyo gets a trash can and hands it to Wright, who uses it to beat on Grunge.
- Rocco Rock runs to the back and gets a ladder.
- Tony wonders why we haven't had a DQ yet.
- Rock uses the ladder to lay out both heels.
- Disco and Wright attempt a walkout. They actually go to the back.
- Tokyo doesn't know what to do.
- Disco and Wright come out with a table of their own!
- Disco's got a mic: He asks if Public Enemy wants to make it a street fight. Mark "Shooter" Curtis agrees.
- TPE run to the back, and come back with a kitchen sink, toilet seat, etc.
- Wright gets the advantage on Grunge, while Rock does the same with Disco.
- Grunge attacks Disco with a mailbox.
- Rock is attacking with the dreaded COOKIE SHEET OF DOOM!
- Wright suplexes Rock on a trashcan.
- Grunge then gives an bellringer to Wright, with cookie sheets.
- Wright gets put on the table.
- Rock hits the ropes to go a plunderin', but gets tripped by Disco.
- Disco starts to open up on TPE, while bike engines rev.
- Wright attacks with the kitchen sink.
- Really slowing down now.
- Wright with an Europen uppercut.
- TPE comes back in to doubleteam Wright.
- Big "Table" chant starts.
- Rock rolls Tokyo into the ring.
- Then he just kind of ignores him, so Tokyo leaves.
- Inverted atomic drops for the heels, but Wright comes back with a kick.
- Tokyo comes in to kick on Grunge a bit.
- Tokyo accidentally hits Wright, who isn't happy.
- We cut to a shot on the outside, and when we cut back, Tokyo is down in the ring and Wright leaves.
- Tokyo walks to the back now, and Disco is left in the ring with TPE.
- TPE takes only slightly longer than a reading of "War and Peace" (backward) to set up three tables.
- TPE sets up a triple-decker table, and set the ladder up beside it.
- TPE pulls Disco up the ladder.
- Rocco Rock climbs the scaffolding, while Disco gets set up on the top table.
- Rock puts Disco through the tables!
- Grunge rolls Disco into the ring.
- Tokyo runs back in, and tries a top-rope splash, but ends up hitting Disco instead.
- Grunge then disposes of Tokyo, and pins Disco.
- Lee Marshall is back at the Internet location, with a stripes-wearing Dean Malenko.
- Match 3: Triangle Match - Raven (w/Lodi) vs. Saturn vs. Kanyon
- Triangle match, Raven's Rules, up next.
- Pinfalls count anywhere in Sturgis City Limits.
- Raven comes out, with Lodi. Lodi's got splints on his broken fingers.
- Lodi sign: "We Hate Harleys"
- Lodi sign: "Biker Girls R Fat & Ugly."
- The siren song brings out Saturn.
- Kanyon is announced as being from "Parts Unknown."
- Heenan: "I know where Parts Unknown is."
- Kanyon's in good shape these days.
- Raven tells Kanyon to attack Saturn. Saturn, though, is the one who attacks.
- Kanyon hits Saturn with a swinging neckbreaker.
- Raven hits Saturn with a chair, and tosses the chair to Kanyon.
- Kanyon glares at Raven, and Saturn superkicks him.
- Raven runs Kanyon into the corner post.
- Saturn and Kanyon brawl.
- Raven is in the ring, and the others are down outside.
- Saturn and Kanyon brawl while Raven slumps in the corner.
- Saturn and Kanyon notice Raven.
- Kanyon dropkicks Raven in the crotch, and then Saturn dropkicks him high.
- Saturn and Kanyon combine for a belly-to-back suplex/reverse neckbreaker combo.
- Raven and Kanyon do what, I believe, was "Total Elimination."
- Kanyon hits a series of three Russian Legsweeps, followed by a Saturn guillotine legdrop.
- Kanyon and Saturn have been breaking the other's pins of Raven.
- Kanyon hits a Fisherman Neckbreaker.
- Kanyon and Saturn brawl, and Raven whacks them both with a chair.
- Saturn sends Raven outside the ring.
- Kanyon with a slingshot plancha onto both others.
- Saturn and Raven brawl down the aisle, and Kanyon gets involved in the fray.
- Raven suplexes Kanyon on the rampway.
- Saturn goes for a pin on the stage, but it's only two.
- Kanyon piledrives Saturn on the stage, but Raven breaks the pin.
- Raven with a dropkick, which sends Kanyon rolling down the ramp.
- Saturn hotshots Kanyon on the side of the ramp.
- Kanyon finally brings Raven back into the ring.
- Saturn hits a T-Bone suplex.
- At this point, my video freezes on my TV.
- As it comes back, Kanyon has a sleeper on Saturn who has a sleeper on Raven. A triple-jawbreaker ends the mess.
- Kanyon puts Saturn on the top rope, and Raven gets under him, so it ends up Raven drops Kanyon while Kanyon superplexes Saturn.
- Raven tries a double-evenflow, but Kanyon holds onto the ropes, and doesn't go down.
- Kanyon makes the save for Saturn.
- Kanyon suplexes Raven on the outside.
- Kanyon climbs the scaffolding, but Lodi pulls Raven out of the way of a splash.
- Back in the ring, Saturn hits the Spiccoli Driver on Raven.
- Lodi makes the save!
- Saturn takes out Lodi, and Horace runs out.
- Lodi throws powder in Horace's eyes, and then Horace nails Lodi with the stopsign.
- The blinded Horace then hits Raven with the stop sign.
- Saturn german-suplexes Horace, and hits ANOTHER Spiccoli Driver on Raven, and gets the pin!
- Kanyon is writhing on the outside.
- Match 4: Psychosis vs. Rey Misterio Jr.
- Yes! Psychosis!!!
- The winner of this shot gets a Cruiser title shot.
- Psychosis plays the heel tonight.
- His opponent: Ron Misterio Jr.
- A fat biker chick in the crowd pulls down her top as the camera pans the crowd. I really, REALLY, didn't need to see that.
- Psychosis with a side-headlock.
- Nice armdrag by the Horned One.
- Rey sends Psychosis out to the floor to regroup.
- Rey gets up on the shoulders, and does a sunset flip for two.
- Left-handed clothesline from Psychosis.
- NICE split-legged gourdbuster from Psyhosis.
- Psychosis sends Misterio from turnbuckle to turnbuckle.
- Psychosis sends Misterio up into the air, and then lets him drop to the mat.
- Psychosis goes up top, but Misterio gets his feet up.
- Misterio with the top-middle-low-mat head-to-turnbuckle shots.
- A nice series ending with a flying headscissors from Misterio.
- Rey goes up top, and hits a flying bodypress for two.
- Rey tries a frankensteiner, but Psychosis turns it into a sitting powerbomb.
- Psychosis locks on the Tiajuana Luchador Restholdo.
- Psychosis picks Misterio up on his shoulders, and hits a bridging fall-back suplex for two.
- Psychosis dropkicks Misterio on the outside.
- Psychosis locks on a half-crab back in the ring.
- Psychosis puts Rey up top, and hits a top-rope frankensteiner for two.
- Psychosis goes to work on the hurt knee.
- Psychosis with a bodyslam, and the thumb across the throat.
- Psychosis goes up top, but Rey dropkicks him out over the top to the floor.
- Rey with a springboard, over-the-top sitdown splash onto Psychosis.
- Rey with a spingboard sunset flip.
- Rey with a version of the Rocker Dropper.
- Rey with a split-legged moonsault for two.
- Psychosis with a version of a spinebuster for two.

- Match 5: Chavo Guerrero Jr. vs. WCW World Television Champion Stevie Ray
- Chavo is announced as being accompanied to the ring by "his horse Pepe."
- Chavo signals for someone to throw him Pepe.
- Chavo has his notarized paper with him.
- Chavo wants the mic.
- Chavo says that this match is null and void, and everyone knows it.
- Chavo says Stevie Ray may have the belt, but Chavo is the champ!
- Chavo says he spent all last night making up a new contract, saying he's the champ.
- Yes yes yes....no no no....
- The bikers are "raising the roof."
- Penzer announces Stevie as the "self-proclaimed TV champion."
- Tenay says nobody has gotten in touch with Booker.
- Heenan suggests Chavo write his will with his "notary stamp."
- Chavo says that Stevie is not the TV champ, and asks him if he can get it through his thick skull.
- Chavo asks if Stevie can read.
- Chavo wants the belt.
- Chavo tells Stevie to ask Chavo if he's the champ.
- Chavo wants a ceremonial handshake, if Stevie wants to have the match.
- Chavo extends his hand.
- Stevie doesn't want to. Chavo chases him around with his hand extended.
- Chavo dropkicks Stevie in the knee.
- This just serves to get Stevie mad.
- Chavo runs around to avoid Stevie.
- Chavo's offense is having no effect on the big guy.
- Stevie finally catches him.
- Chavo tries a sunset flip, but Stevie just picks him up and chokes him.
- Stevie's getting angrier.
- Chavo is spending his time running.
- Chavo just leaves and re-enters the ring, getting a kick or two in when he does.
- Stevie kicks Chavo, and hits the Slapjack!!!
- One-two-three, and that's it.
- Stevie says he's not finished with Chavo, and challenges the crowd to come up.
- Eddie Guerrero runs in, and keeps Stevie from beating Chavo with the TV belt.
- Eddie drops the belt, and Stevie leaves.
- Chavo is shying away from Eddie's help.
- Lee Marshall has Chris Jericho in the Internet position.
- It's brother-vs-brother time!
- Rick Steiner comes out in jeans and a T-shirt.
- JJ Dillon is out, and says the match isn't going to take place.
- Dillon says that Rick whacked Scott with a chair, so the doctors say Scott can't wrestle.
- Buff wheels Scott out on a gurney.
- Chant: "Bullshit."
- Scott has an arm and leg bandaged, a neck brace, and an oxygen mask.
- Buff has a neck brace on again.
- Dillon says that the contract says that if the match can't take place, WCW has the right to reschedule it. Dillon reschedules the match for Fall Brawl in September.
- Dillon says that if Scott doesn't show up at Fall Brawl, he'll be banned from wrestling.
- Scott jumps up, incredulous, and runs to the back, with Rick in hot pursuit.
- Match 6: Brian Adams (w/Vincent) vs. Steve McMichael
- nWo music comes on, and Brian Adams comes out.
- Adams must be used to bikers, with that whole DOA thing.
- His opponent: Steve McMichael.
- Big clumsy lock up to start. Mongo breaks clean.
- Mongo: "That's how a good guy does it."
- Adams breaks clean, too.
- Mongo with a semi-DDT.
- Mongo with more brawling.
- Adams avoids a Big Boot in the corner, picks Mongo up, and slams him.
- Legdrop from Adams.
- Trapezius hold from Adams.
- Adams with a credible clothesline-Mongo-over-the-tope.
- Vincent slams Mongo into the stairs, and Mongo doesn't like it.
- Mongo goes to deal with Vincent, allowing Adams to attack from behind.
- Adams with a side-backbreaker.
- Mongo avoids a kneedrop from Adams.
- Mongo with a side suplex.
- Mongo clips Adams from the three-point-stance, and does it again.
- Adams catches Mongo with a throat shot coming off the ropes.
- Adams tries a piledriver, and Mongo accidentally kicks the ref.
- Adams holds Mongo for a Vincent chairshot, but of course ends up eating it himself.
- Mongo signals for the Spike, and hits it!
- Billy Silverman recovers in time to count the pin! Mongo wins!
- Mean Gene is out with the "American Iron Horse Girls." He plugs the bike again.
- Match 7: Juventud Guererra vs. WCW World Cruiserweight Champion Chris Jericho, with Dean Malenko as special referee
- The special referee for the Cruiserweight Title match comes out - Dean Malenko.
- Quasi-Juice makes the entrance.
- Tenay says that Malenko spent a summer ten years ago working as a referee in Florida.
- Jericho comes out with some kind of kimono on....
- The bikers enjoy Jericho's choice of ring attire.
- Jericho wants the mic.
- Jericho wants the bikers to want him. Frightening.
- Tenay: "He is the master of the cheap trick, isn't he."
- Jericho: "As I was driving down the streets of Sturgis on my smokin' Honda..." Oooh....nice heel move.
- Jericho calls the crowd a bunch of "weekend warrior biker wannabes."
- Jericho teases Malenko by attempting to give him the belt, and then yanking it away.
- Jericho with a clean break against the ropes.
- Juvi with a drop-toehold, and hits a dropkick.
- Jericho with a spinwheel kick.
- The camera focuses on Juvi on the outside, so we miss seeing Malenko grab Jericho by the hair, and throw him into the corner.
- Juvi misses a corner charge.
- Juvi with a missile dropkick, and Jericho goes to the floor.
- Jericho goes chin-first onto the apron, and then to the floor in short order.
- Juvi with a springboard plancha a LONG way down to the floor. In case I haven't mentioned it, the ring is sitting on a ~4-foot high platform.
- Juvi with a slingshot legdrop.
- Jericho gets out of a chinlock with a jawbreaker.
- Juvi with a slingshot cross-body for two.
- Juvi goes up top, tries a cross-body, but gets caught with a gorilla-press tombstone.
- Malenko only gives a two-count.
- Jericho with a big vertical suplex, only gets a slow two-count.
- Crowd: "Jericho sucks. Vroom."
- Juvi is walking it off on the outside.
- Jericho with a kneelift.
- Jericho with a senton splash for two.
- Juvi fights out of a sleeper, but gets met with a knee to the gut.
- Juvi reverses a suplex into one of his own.
- Kicks and slaps from the champ.
- Juvi gets his knees up on the Lionsault.
- Juvi comes back with loud chops.
- Flying headscissors from Juvi.
- Juvi goes up top.
- Top-rope spinwheel kick for two.
- Juvi flips out of a German suplex, tries a frankensteiner, and Jericho hits a double powerbomb.
- Jericho lazily kicks Juvi in the ribs.
- Jericho with a nice off-the-buckles shoulderblock.
- Juvi flips out of a suplex, but gets clotheslined.
- Jericho doesn't like the two-count.
- Jericho chops Juvi, and lets out a big "Whoo!"
- Juvi turns an attempted powerbomb into a DDT.
- JuviDriver! But Jericho kicks out.
- Juvi positions Jericho, and goes up top.
- Jericho recovers and crotches Juvi on the top.
- Jericho with a superplex. Malenko starts the ten-count.
- Juvi rolls over for a two-count.
- Juvi tries a frankensteiner, but Jericho turns it into a Boston Crab. Juvi gets to the ropes.
- Jericho thinks he won, and Malenko won't raise his hand.
- Jericho is asking Deano Machineo what's up, and Juvi starts frailin' in the corner.
- Malenko tries to pull Juvi off, and accidentally gets a thumb to the eye.
- Juvi checks on Malenko, and Jericho brains him with the belt.
- Jericho shoves Malenko, and orders him to count.
- Juvi kicks out at two!!!
- Jericho and Juvi brawl on the turnbuckles.
- Jericho kicks Juvi off, and then kicks Malenko!
- Juvi charges the corner, and Malenko lauches Juvi into the air! Juvi then connects with a top-rope frankensteiner as Jericho is still seated on the turnbuckles!
- Juvi covers! 1.....2......3!!!! New champ!
- Jericho throws a fit, and Malenko beats on him!
- Match 8: Battle Royale
- nWo music comes on. It's the battle royale.
- Elimination is by pinfall or over-the-top.
- Team black-and-white comes out: Scott Hall, Giant, Curt Hennig, and Scott Norton.
- Scott Hall has the mic. Hey yo.
- Hall wonders if anyone came to see the black-and-white express. Not much reaction. The Wolfpac gets a better reaction. Goldberg gets a decent pop, though not outstanding.
- Wolfpac music brings out, well, Team Wolfpac: Kevin Nash, Sting (in red), Lex Luger, and Konnan.
- Nash has a mic, too, and gets the "Name the town" cheap heat.
- Gonnad does his little thingy too.
- Finally, the World Champ makes his entrance.
- Goldberg is announced as being from "Parts Unknown." He was originally announced as being from Dawsonville, GA.
- Each faction takes a corner.
- nWo takes on the Wolfpac, as Goldberg watches.
- Nash works on Hall.
- Goldberg and Giant hook up.
- Someone made a point somewhere I was reading that the "Goldberg" chant is of the type usually used to taunt someone, not support them. For example, to get under Darryl Strawberry's skin, baseball fans used to chant "Daaaaaaryyyyl," the same way they
chant "Goooooldberrrrg." Just a thought.
- Nash goes to give the big boot to Hall, but hits Goldberg.
- Hall tries an Outsider Edge to Goldberg, but Goldberg backdrops Hall over the top for the first elimination.
- Nash then eliminates himself to go after Hall, and delivers Snake Eyes to Hall on the apron.
- Giant and Goldberg pair off again, and Giant hits some headbutts.
- Giant works on the champ in the corner.
- Giant with a Russian Legsweep.
- Very slow now as eliminations are teased.
- Giant and Konnan are fighting, as Sting tries to put Hennig into the Scorpion. Norton breaks the hold.
- Konnan walks into a Big Boot from Giant, then meets the Spear from the champ. Konnan's gone.
- Hennig is trying to get Goldberg out, but no go.
- Hennig and Giant doubleteam the champ.
- Big belly-to-back suplex from Giant on the champ.
- Goldberg spears Hennig.
- Hennig goes over the top, courtesy of the champ.
- Goldberg then clotheslines Sting and Norton over the top.
- Luger gets a spear.
- Giant then tosses Luger.
- Giant grabs Goldberg, and hits the chokeslam.
- Goldberg sits up like the Undertaker.
- Goldberg spears Giant.
- Goldberg jackhammers Giant, and gets the pin. Goldberg is the survivor.
- Match 9: Hollywood Hogan and Eric Bischoff (w/Disciple and Miss Elizabeth) vs. Diamond Dallas Page and Jay Leno (w/Kevin Eubanks)
- Michael Buffer, of course, is in the ring for the main event.
- Voodoo Child brings out the nWo team. Bischoff is described as a talk show host and martial arts expert.
- Hogan gives Bischoff some shugga'.
- Some sort of big-band music (Tonight Show music?).
- Leno comes out in sweats and a T-shirt, carrying a Harley-Davidson flag.
- Leno is announced as hailing from Burbank, CA.
- Eubanks looks to be in good shape. Leno looks . . . doughy.
- Leno throws his drink at the nWo.
- Hogan gets Penzer's chair.
- Nick Patrick is your referee.
- Leno taunts Hogan.
- It's Hogan and DDP to start, of course.
- Hogan shoves DDP into the corner, and flexes.
- Hogan does it again, and throws his do-rag at DDP.
- Page with his shoulderblock-armdrag. Hogan uses the hair, and slaps Page.
- Page returns the favor, and Leno slaps Hogan too!
- Page with a swinging neckbreaker.
- Eubanks posts Hogan on the outside, and Page rolls up Hogan.
- Eubanks is already quite a bit more credible than Vincent.
- Hogan instructs Disciple to keep an eye on Eubanks.
- Hogan regains the advantage, and works him over in the nWo corner.
- Bischoff tags in, and he and Hogan work DDP over.
- Leno charges in, but gets restrained by Nick Patrick.
- Bischoff eats boot as he charges the corner.
- Leno tags in, and scares Bischoff back to his corner.
- Hogan tags in.
- Hogan looks smug.
- Leno dares Hogan to hit him on the chin.
- They circle each other.
- Leno avoids a hookup.
- Leno taunts Hogan by saying "I've got hair, you don't."
- Leno avoids another lockup, and tags Page.
- Hogan with a thumb to the eyes to stop Page.
- Hogan with a running clothesline.
- Page with more shoulderblocks.
- Page with an armlock, and tags Leno.
- Leno with a full armdrag and twist, and has Hogan down.
- Hogan gets up to his feet, and forces Leno to the corner.
- Knees to the gut from Hogan, followed by a choke.
- Leno is dazed in the corner, but avoids a corner charge.
- Leno with another armbar, and tags Page.
- Page and Leno hit a double clothesline on Hogan.
- Leno with a two-count, and Hogan rolls outside.
- Hogan wants to chair Page on the outside, but Eubanks grabs it, and chairs Hogan.
- Hogan and Page in the ring.
- Hogan with an avalanche clothesline.
- Bischoff comes in.
- Bischoff with kicks in the corner.
- Page recovers, and beats on Bischoff in the corner.
- Disciple gives Hogan some brass knucks, and clobbers Page with them.
- Hogan throws Bischoff on top of Page.
- One....two......kickout!
- Hogan tags in, and beats on Page.
- Leno tries to come in, allowing some doubleteams in the corner.
- Hogan with the big boot.
- Hogan listens for the cheers.
- DDP tries to get to the corner.
- Hogan catches DDP's boot, but Page spins around with a clothesline.
- Hogan tags Bischoff, and Leno gets a tag too.
- Leno comes in. Bischoff doesn't want any of it.
- Leno talks some smack to Bischoff.
- Bischoff goes to the eyes.
- Leno, though, crotches Bischoff.
- Leno with a weak right hook. And another one.
- Leno sends Bischoff into the corner. And another one!
- Ten turnbuckle shots from Leno. Leno's winded.

- All in all, a credible performance. I was expecting the worst, but this was pretty fun. And a solid show on the undercard. Congratulations to WCW for not blowing this - it could have been really bad!
