- Hey. No mailbag this week, as I've been sick as a dog these past few days. Yeah, I'm lazy, I know.
- One tidbit before I go into the report: There's a new picture for matches I decree to be a DUD. You'll know what it is when you see it.
- WCW Logo.
- Some clips from this week's Nitro.
- We have a new opening sequence for Thunder featuring clips from recent WCW matches. Not a bad job, actually. New music also accompanies the opener.
- We are taped from Philadelphia, PA tonight.
- Terry Taylor makes his way out.
- Taylor stands before us as an official representative of the WCW Executive Board.
- Taylor talks about Jeff Jarrett's guitar shots on Sid Vicious and an altercation between Sid and Scott Hall at a hotel.
- No comment about the latter.
- Taylor makes mention to the nWo's scheming and that Sid Vicious has reluctantly agreed to leave the building.
- "Cowboy" brings out Jeff Jarrett and the Harris Brothers.
- Jarrett says he is sick of the executive committee protecting Sid.
- Jarrett says the committee tries to come up with something to screw him.
- Jarrett says he will take out Sid and Hall on Sunday.
- Jarrett asks Taylor if he was the one who screwed him on Nitro.
- Jarrett tells Taylor to take a message to the committee and a beatdown ensues.
- Taylor gets a guitar to the noggin, as well.
- And spray paint. Can't forget about the spray paint.
- Jarrett rants some more about sending a message.
- As J. J. Dillon has proven, punking out officials who have slightly been on television really gets you over as a heel. Or something like that.
- Mike Tenay and Bobby Heenan run the booth. Tenay runs down tonight's card.
- Ric Flair, The Total Package and Elizabeth walk backstage.
- We see the brackets for the Cruiserweight Tournament.
- Match #1: Kaz Hayashi (w/o entrance) vs. TAFKA Prince Iaukea (w/ Paisley)
- Psychosis is a no-show, so Iaukea gets another chance.
- The winner of this match will face Lash LeRoux in the finals at SuperBrawl.
- Paisley and Prince do their schtick before the match starts.
- Tenay says that due to the hotel altercation, Hall has been banned from the building as well.
- Prince starts with some rights and a snapmare.
- Prince hits some punches in the corner.
- Notice the "Daddy" sign that is blotted out.
- Miss Hancock is at ringside again.
- Kaz with a clothesline and some fists.
- Kaz whips Prince, who gets in a kick.
- Off the ropes, Prince hits an elbow.
- Kaz reverses a whip and hits a spinning heel kick.
- Paisley tries to start some trouble with Hancock.
- Prince holds Paisley back as Charles Robinson sends Hancock to the back.
- This allows Kaz to fly over the top with a somersault dive.
- Back inside, Prince controls with a snapmare and a legdrop for two.
- Kaz telegraphs a back bodydrop after a whip and gets slapped.
- Prince whips Kaz into a right.
- Kaz reverses a whip, misses a back kick and tries another kick, but Prince gets a dragonscrew legwhip.
- Off the middle turnbuckle, Prince gets a jumping DDT for the win.

- The Wall walks backstage. Kevin Nash is notified of Terry Taylor's beating by Mike Graham.
- For SuperBrawl: Screamin' Norman Smiley vs. Three Count in a handicap match.
- Match #2: Screamin' Norman Smiley vs. The Wall
- Smiley comes out in Philadelphia Flyers gear tonight.
- The Wall makes his way out in the usual business suit.
- The Wall will be facing The Demon at SuperBrawl.
- From Nitro: The Wall gets a win over Bam Bam Bigelow.
- Wall headbutts Smiley at the ropes.
- Smiley's clotheslines have no effect, as Wall hits a Yakuza Kick, sending Smiley over the ring ropes.
- Outside, Wall controls with clubbing blows.
- Smiley reverses a whip to the rail.
- Smiley shoves Wall to the apron.
- Back inside, Wall gets a couple kicks in.
- Wall hits a backbreaker.
- Wall whips Smiley, who tries a sunset flip.
- Wall does a sitdown splash to counter but misses.
- Smiley with a kick, a wiggle and a headbutt.
- Smiley whips Wall to the corner and hits his spinning bodyslam.
- Smiley then smacks his bitch up.
- Smiley goes to the ropes and gets caught in the chokeslam for the win. Bleh.
- YOUR WINNER: The Wall via chokeslam in 3:05.
- Post-match, Wall sets up a table outside the ring.
- Wall chokeslams Smiley onto the table. I should point out that the table is more over than The Wall.
- Now would be a perfect time for Three Count to beat down Smiley to further their feud, but we get EMTs instead.
- Said EMTs put Smiley on a stretcher.
- Kevin Nash speaks to a couple WCW employees in the back.
- EMTs wheel Smiley into an ambulance.
- For SuperBrawl: Tank Abbott vs. Big Al in a "Skins Match."
- Match #3: Van Hammer vs. Tank Abbott
- Hammer comes out and maybe three people care.
- Luckily, Hammer is tonight's designated victim for Abbott.
- The two goons grapple in the corner.
- Abbott with a takedown slam.
- Hammer lands the Flashback (not called by the announcers) but Abbott gets up and hits the knockout blow for the win.

- Kidman and Torrie Wilson argue with Vampiro backstage.

- Jimmy Barron acts like a moron again.
- Tenay plugs DDP's new book.
- Nash flirts with his nurses while Jarrett and the Harrises talk strategy.
- The Total Package (w/ chair and bat) comes out with Elizabeth.
- TP's chair has a "Hulkster" sticker on it.
- Bobby Heenan is being apathetic for Hulk Hogan tonight.
- TP calls Liz and himself stars.
- TP talks about tearing apart Terry Funk and snapping Hogan's arm on Nitro.
- TP says he's not about to brag about having Liz around or about his 6' 4" 270 lb. frame.
- TP says he is here to announce a merger with Ric Flair, calling him a "fourtime time champion" before correcting himself.
- Tenay talks about TP and Flair being rivals, but he doesn't mention that TP was a former Horseman.
- Flair works in a "fat boy" to some cheers.
- Flair says that TP, Liz and him have found something in common.
- Flair says that they are a notch above the crowd and that unlike Eric Lindros, they are real athletes.
- Flair refers to Hogan's arm-breaking and TP slamming Funk through a table.
- Flair says Liz is beauty and that the crowd is ugly.
- Terry Funk and Dustin Rhodes hit the entryway.
- Funk says this is hardcore country.
- Flair asks Funk if he wants TP to slam him through a table again.
- Funk challenges Flair and TP to a match between him and Rhodes.
- I should point out that Rhodes looks real excited to be here.
- Flair asks TP to take off his shirt, oil up and beat Funk down.
- As TP rants, Funk says that Dustin Rhodes is better than his old man (Dusty).
- TP tells Rhodes to speak for himself.
- Funk's music plays to close the segment.
- For SuperBrawl: Sid Vicious vs. Jeff Jarrett vs. Scott Hall for the WCW World Heavyweight Title.
- Kidman and Torrie walk backstage as does Vampiro. We also see the Harrises walking for that extra touch of excitement.
- Gene Okerlund interviews The Mamalukes.
- Match #4: The Harris Brothers vs. Kidman (w/ Torrie Wilson) and Vampiro
- Tenay says that Mark Johnson and Mickey Jay got into a brouhaha this Monday.
- The heels get the first entrance.
- Kidman and Torrie come out next.
- Vampiro gets the final entrance with updated music.
- Vampiro and Kidman face off at SuperBrawl, by the way.
- The Harrises jump Vamp to start.
- The Harrises whip Vamp but get kicked.
- Kidman gets tagged and goes up top for a dive.
- Kidman covers for two.
- Kidman tags Vamp, who was looking the other way.
- Harris #1 whips Vamp into a side slam for two.
- Tag to Harris #2.
- Harris whips Vamp into a variation of a urinage in which Harris had Vamp by the waist and not the shoulder.
- More doubleteaming after tagging back to the other Harris.
- Vamp blocks a punch out of the corner but gets whipped and powerslammed.
- Tag to Harris #2.
- Harris drops an elbow and puts on a chinlock.
- Vamp ducks a clothesline off a whip and hits a spinning heel kick.
- Tag to Kidman.
- Kidman dropkicks Harris and hits his tornado bulldog.
- Kidman with another dropkick, but gets attacked from behind.
- Kidman slips out of a slam but gets doubleteamed some more.
- As the Harrises hit a slam, we see Vamp walking to the back, but he changes his mind.
- The Harris go for a chair shot on Kidman, but Vamp takes the hit and gets pinned.
- YOUR WINNERS: The Harris Brothers via pinfall in 4:13.
- The participants for the "Philly Street Fight" walk backstage. I should point out Daffney's new hair-do.
- For SuperBrawl: The Mamalukes vs. David Flair and Crowbar in a Sicilian Stretcher Match.
- Match #5: Big Vito vs. Crowbar in a Philly Street Fight
- The Mamalukes blindside Crowbar as he comes out and lock the door so David and Daffney cannot interfere.
- Vito controls for a while but Crowbar comes back with trashcan shots and the ever popular COOKIE SHEET OF DOOM.
- They fight on a forklift and Vito gives Crowbar a backdrop suplex on a car.
- Daffney's laughter is still audible at this point.
- Crowbar suplex Vito on a car and hits a legdrop for two.
- Crowbar gets a steel pipe and lunges at Vito, but misses and hits the windshield instead.
- Daffney is throwing food for some reason.
- Vito stomps away on the car, but Crowbar brings him on a production crate.
- Vito beats on Crowbar, sending him onto a car.
- Vito elbowdrops Crowbar for the win.
- YOUR WINNER: Big Vito via elbowdrop.
- Who the hell gets pinned with an elbowdrop?
- Mark Johnson and Mickey Jay are going to duke it out later. You're kidding me.
- Nash hits on his nurses some more.
- This Week in WCW Motorsports.
- For SuperBrawl: Hulk Hogan vs. The Total Package.
- We see clips of Mark Johnson and Mickey Jay coming to blows.
- Match #6: Mark Johnson (w/ the Harris Brothers) vs. Mickey Jay
- Oh, this is going to be exciting.
- I wonder if the fans know what the hell is going on.
- Thankfully, Mickey is wearing a shirt.
- Johnson attacks Mickey from behind.
- Johnson whips Mickey to the corner chest-first.
- Johnson pulls Mickey to the ringpost and wraps his knee around the post.
- Johnson goes back inside and evades a wild swing.
- Johnson snaps the leg and talks smack.
- Johnson twists Mickey's ankle and goes to the ropes.
- Johnson misses an elbowdrop.
- Mickey with a couple punches.
- As Mickey lands some rights, a Harris distracts Nick Patrick so the other Harris can stomp Mickey's head.
- This leads to a Johnson pinfall for the victory.
- YOUR WINNER: Mark Johnson via pinfall in 2:13.
- So, it took help from two 6' 5" guys to defeat a fat-ass REFEREE? That's just bad.
- Brian Knobbs walks backstage.
- Match #7: Fit Finlay vs. Brian Knobbs in a Cast Match
- Jimmy Hart is the guest referee for this match.
- Both men have casts on their right arm, as well as Hart.
- Knobbs charges at Finlay but misses, allowing Finlay to hit a clubbing blow to the back.
- They go outside and Finlay slams Knobbs' right arm on the stairs.
- Finlay throws Knobbs over the rail.
- Now it's the "Fight In The Crowd" spot.
- Knobbs tosses Finlay over the rail.
- Finlay comes back and sends Knobbs face-first into the rail.
- Finlay has a chair but Hart grabs it out of Finlay's hands.
- Finlay with more offense on the arm, then they go inside.
- Finlay with his roll-through slam.
- Finlay covers and Hart counts, but hurts his arm on the one-count.
- Knobbs beans Finlay from behind with his cast and Hart counts the pinfall with his left arm.
- YOUR WINNER: Brian Knobbs via pinfall in 2:18.
- The announcers did make a mention or two about Knobbs' former affiliation with Jimmy Hart, which explains the finish.
- Jarrett and the Harrises talk backstage.
- Promo for SuperBrawl. I tell you, Jeff Jarrett is going to have a sore back from carrying Hall AND Sid during his match.
- We return to the announcer's booth. They take us to Nitro for the Pillmanizing of Hogan's arm.
- We go to a pre-taped segment with Hulk Hogan.
- This studio segment just screams early '90s.
- Basic gist: Hulk was laid out on Nitro and he wants revenge.
- Hulk makes reference to his "Hollywood" days and how he had a mean streak.
- Hulk talks about transforming to Hollywood and breaking Liz in half. Wow, what a hero.
- This is a really weird interview, by the way.
- The combatants for our main event tonight walk backstage.
- T-Shirt Promo for some Goldberg guy.
- This "Ready To Rumble" movie looks like it was designed to offend anyone with an IQ higher than room temperature.
- For SuperBrawl: Ric Flair vs. Terry Funk in a Death Match.
- Match #8: The Total Package (w/ Elizabeth) and Ric Flair vs. Terry Funk and Dustin Rhodes
- TP and Liz enter first.
- The Naitch comes out next.
- Funk and Rhodes get the final entrance.
- This crowd is dead.
- Flair and Funk start off.
- Flair brings Funk to the corner and Whoo's.
- Funk slaps Flair's face.
- Funk with a shoulderblock.
- Funk whips Flair into a back bodydrop.
- Flair bails to the outside and as Funk follows, TP gets an elbow in.
- Rhodes hits the ring to deal with TP as Funk and Flair battle outside.
- Funk sets up for a piledriver on the table, but TP makes the save.
- Rhodes sends TP into the rail.
- Flair sends Funk into the rail.
- Flair with some rights.
- Back inside, Flair gets Charles Robinson distracted so he can hit a mule kick.
- Flair goes up top and comes down the usual way.
- Funk sets up for a spinning toehold but Rhodes comes in.
- Robinson waves Rhodes off, allowing a TP clothesline.
- Tag to TP.
- TP rams Funk into the turnbuckle.
- Tag to Flair.
- Flair whips Funk and tries an armdrag, but Funk gets a backslide for two.
- Flair with a chop but Funk sends him down with a right.
- Tag to TP.
- TP with some rights in the corner.
- TP whips Funk to the corner but runs into a boot, weakly I might add.
- Funk covers for two.
- Funk with a headbutt.
- TP comes back with a suplex.
- Tags to Flair and Rhodes.
- Rhodes cleans house of the heels.
- Rhodes with a suplex on Flair.
- TP reverses a whip on Rhodes but gets bulldogged.
- Funk punches away on Flair in the corner.
- As Rhodes sets up for the Shattered Dreams, Liz nails Rhodes on the leg with the bat.
- TP gets the bat and nails Rhodes from behind with Robinson not looking.
- Flair gets the figure-four on for the pinfall victory.
- YOUR WINNERS: The Total Package and Ric Flair via figure-four in 5:52.
- Post-match, Funk hurls Tenay's chair into the ring as the heels flee.
- Backstage, Jarrett and the Harrises confront Nash.
- Nash bars the Harrises from the Cow Palace Sunday night.
- Jarrett smacks Nash with the guitar.
- We then fade to black...
- The Good: Bobby Heenan acting more like a heel commentator.
- The Bad: Everyone was half-assing it again tonight. Hayashi/Iaukea should have been an easy two Spices or higher, but the lack of anything other than punching really killed that notion. The only decently worked match was the main event.
- The Ugly: Nothing that was too offensive outside of the referee match. But it was a rather boring show with nothing redeemable.
