WCW Worldwide - Saturday, 2/13/00
-
Hosts this week are Bobby Heenan and Scott Hudson.
-
Tony's on assignment, apparently.
-
Acting commish Jeff Jarrett is doing stuff.
-
Bobby's got a paper cup this week.
-
Back to Nitro (1/31)
for Jarrett talking a whole bunch.
-
And that six (or five) man main event.
-
After an interlude with the announcers, we go to Thunder (2/2)
and more Jeff Jarrett/Sid fun.
-
Hulk Hogan is back.
-
Bobby was hoping he wouldn't be.
-
I'm with him.
-
Go Luger!
-
Accidentally cripple Hogan!
-
We know you can do it!
-
Actually...wouldn't a Big T/Hogan feud be choice?
-
Insert clips from Thunder that I couldn't be bothered to care about, yep.
-
Back from break, Bobby's really going to the Power Plant this week.
-
Superbrawl hype, leading to the Flair/Funk feud.
-
Going back to Nitro, and Flair's return interview.
-
They cut on the Foley ref.
-
Hudson: "It doesn't get much better than that."
-
Eh, no.
-
"The Lash-a-dor" Lash LeRoux and La Parka (w/chair and nice black/red robe)
vs 2XS (Lane and Idol)
-
Tenay and Hudson are the ring commentators.
-
The announcers do note the odd teaming.
-
Watch me use the old names for 2XS within seconds...
-
The announcers are playing like they can't use 2XS's old name.
-
Which is true.
-
Parka and Lane start.
-
Parka with a knee, punch, PARKA STRUT!
-
Parka with a cross whip, Parka Splash!
-
Parka with another whip, but Lane ducks the splash.
-
Parka hits the turnbuckle, staggers around, and falls forward, diving headbutt
with perfect aim..
-
Parka tries a tornado DDT, Lane blocks, Parka reverses into a Russian Legsweep.
2 count.
-
Parka with a top rope axehandle, but he gets a dropkick.
-
Lane off the ropes, head scissors take down, off the ropes again and throws
Parka under the ropes.
-
Lane off the ropes, somersault tope!
-
Lane throws him back in, Parka reaches for a tag, but Lash is looking at
the fans and not towards the ring.
-
Parka's not pleased, but managed to push Lane into the corner, and goes
for a slap, but Lane moves out of the way and Parka hits Lash.
-
Lash comes in and slaps Parka, but Idol's in and Lash goes after him instead.
-
All four in, Lane and Parka whipped into each other and Lane with a 'rana.
-
Idol ejects Lash out of the ring, and 2XS hits a vertical suplex/cross
body combo on Parka for the three count
-
Your Winner: 2XS
-
Lash brings the chair into the ring, but we go to the replay and see nothing
more.
-
Sigh. At the tapings, Parka got to hit Lash with the chair for his bad
tag teaming ability, but we don't see it here for some reason.
-
Back in the studio, Bobby's the only one there.
-
Bobby's not sure what's going on, but it's getting done.
-
That was pointless.
-
And not worth cutting out a chair shot.
-
Al Green vs Fit Finlay
-
They circle, Finlay gets behind and locks on a nerve hold, followed by
a elbow smash to the head.
-
They stall, then lockup. Green controls and goes into a choke hold, but
the ref makes them release at the ropes, and he gets kicked by Finlay.
-
Finlay comes off the ropes, and gets clotheslined by Green.
-
It's not a Finlay match if he doesn't get dragged off the ropes, so he
does.
-
Finlay with an eye poke, European Uppercut, cross corner whip, and a charging
spear.
-
Another hard European Uppercut from Finlay.
-
Green rolls out, Finlay follows, Finlay tries for a whip but Green reverses
and Fit goes into the rail.
-
They battle some more, and Finlay stun guns Green on the railing.
-
Finlay throws Green into the staircase for fun, and rolls back in.
-
Green slowly rolls back in.
-
Cross whip, reverses, Finlay gets a knee up, but runs right into a powerslam.
No count.
-
Green goes for something, but Finlay grabs him for an armbar submission.
-
Green gets on the ropes, break.
-
Finlay with another cross whip, another running spear, but Al Green moves.
-
Green with a rollup with his feet on the ropes, but ref Mickey Jay notices
it and stops the count.
-
Green pushes Jay to argue, Jay pushes back, and Finlay cradles for three.
-
Your Winner: Fit Finlay
-
Some silly comedy bit with Heenan not finding the Power Plant ends the
show.
-
Hey, I recapped it last week.
-
And I'm annoyed that we got this over La Parka's chair shot.
-
And it's not funny.
